John Daidone, 78, of Bedminster, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on April 24, 2019. Beloved husband of 36 years to Nancy (Rocco) Daidone. Devoted father of Victor Daidone, his wife Prosperina, Robyn Jacobson, her husband Brad, Victoria Daidone, Bianca Burman, her husband Scott, the late Robert Daidone, the late Jon Daidone and his wife Jennifer. Cherished grandfather of Liana and the late Robert John, Frank, Gabriella, Maxwell, Ilana and Gigi, Remy, Lake, Juliette and Grae, Daniela and Vincent, Isla, Brent and Page. Dear brother of Linda Hallad and the late Alana Cooper. Also many loving nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents Rose and Vito Daidone. Founder of Daidone Electric Inc. based in Newark. The company has completed some of the most complex transportation projects improving the lives of millions of commuters each day traveling our roads, bridges, tunnels and trains safely and more efficiently. Some notable projects include EZ Pass, Holland & Lincoln Tunnel traffic systems, PATH's Computerized Train Control Systems, and the electrical work at Ground Zero helping restore train service back to the World Trade Center after 911. Just as important as the work was to John, his real joy came from building a true FAMILY company, working alongside the multiple generations of family members and the people employed with the company for their entire careers. Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Friday from 4-8pm. Funeral on Saturday assembling at 10am followed by the funeral mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 11am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
