It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Francis Andryszewski, Sr. ; a man who appreciated the humble nuance of the everyday and relished in the simple joys of life. John, 77, passed away in his Brick Township home, where he resided with his family for the past thirty years. Born in 1946 in Jersey City, N. J. , John graduated from Dickinson High School in 1964 and later from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1969 with a BS in accounting. As a career tax auditor, he worked in public accounting, then for the City of New York, Hypo Bank, Ogden Corporation, and the State of Maryland. John was a man who appreciated physical fitness and exercise: he ranked 7th place in the Tri-State area in the Marine Corps. Physical Fitness test in high school; was an avid skier and passed on his love of the sport to his children and grandchildren; self-proclaimed sailing expert; and loved long walks (and sprints!) with Mya and Bunker. He served in the United States Army Reserves, where he learned his passion for cooking--word has it, John's chicken fricassee at Fort Dix was bar none. John loved to share meals with his family and always left his plate empty. Always with a cup of coffee in one hand, and his vitamins in the other, John was frantically late to everything. John was an unconventional and honest man who lived life according to his own set of rules. He had an unwavering devotion to day trading--a self-declared stock market wizard--and always had one eye on the ticker tape. It was impossible for John to go unnoticed or unheard; his loud voice and distinct Jersey City accent constantly echoed down the lagoon on Valencia Drive. He loved living on the Barnegat Bay and continuously expressed deep appreciation and contentment for the life he lived. John was predeceased by his parents John Francis Andryszewski and Irene Bielecki. Survived by his wife Elizabeth Andryszewski and their four children: John (Shannon), Joseph (Jami), Natalie, and Joseph; his four grandchildren: Joey, Jack, Silvia and Maeve; and his brother Richard Andryszewski (Gigi). Without John's presence, our lives will never be the same--may he rest peacefully. A celebration of his life is forthcoming.
