Born in Phoenixville, PA, on February 19, 1959, Bob was the son of Barbara (Gable) Ribick-Chiusano and the late Robert M. Ribick Sr.Bob graduated from Spring-Ford Area High School in 1977 and later earned his associate degree. He then worked at Dana Incorporated in Pottstown and, subsequently, at RevSpring in Oaks as an electronic technician. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. Additionally, he served as a past Scoutmaster for Troop 58 in Phoenixville, PA.Bob is lovingly remembered by his mother, Barbara (& Michael) Ribick-Chiusano; his sisters, Donna Ribick and Denise Mauger; and his nieces, Melissa Stimmel and Alexis Mauger.In addition to his father, Bob was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Michael and Anna Ribick; his maternal grandparents, Bessie and Ernest Gable; his brother, Richard Ribick; his nephew, Cory Mauger; and his uncle, George Ribick.Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. She enjoyed her honeymoon in Virginia with her husband Barry of over 30 years and also enjoyed their long-anticipated trip to Maine. She was an animal lover and especially loved her dog Sparky. She is survived by her husband, Barry L. Patrick; brother, Donald (Susan) Diesinger; sister, Linda (Todd) Fulmer; step son, Dustin Patrick; step father, Edward Smith; as well as nieces and nephews great nieces and nephews. "R. Karlton Smith, age 95, husband of the late Miriam C. (Daywalt) Smith, of Upper Providence Township, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 in the Pottstown Hospital, Pottstown, PA. Born on July 1, 1928 in Oaks, PA, he was a son of the late Edna Mae (Famous) and Earl Grover Smith. Mr. Smith was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, where he was a track star and held the 1/2 mile record for over 30 years. He furthered his education and received his bachelor\u0027s degree in mathematics from Ursinus College. He retired as a cost estimator for Synthane Corporation in Oaks. Mr. Smith was a lifelong and faithful member of Green Tree Church of the Brethren, where he held several board positions and served on many committees throughout the years. He was very family-oriented, from coaching his son\u0027s youth sporting events during their childhood to never missing a game or event for his grandchildren. Mr. Smith was also a well-known and accomplished oil painter, sought after by many for works of art. His pieces received several awards at different shows he visited. Mr. Smith was also an avid golf player, proudly playing into his 80s, until he could no longer walk the entire course; he never rode in a cart. Mr. Smith is survived by three sons, Robert E., husband of Sally Smith of Dunedin, FL, Gary W., husband of Susan Smith of Marlton, NJ, and David A. Smith, husband of Terese Caucci of Boyertown, PA; five grandchildren, Kelli, Kristen, Kathryn, Ryan, and Declan; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and two nieces, Kathy and Nancy. He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Green Tree Church of the Brethren, 1078 Egypt Road, Oaks, PA 19456 on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Kim Ream and Pastor Rod O\u0027Donnell. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Church. William W. Marvel Sr., 92, of Pottstown, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA. Born September 20, 1931in Roxborough, Bill was the son of the late William O. and Edith D. (Dragoo) Marvel. He and the love of his life, his wife of 69 years, Geraldine C. (Metzger) Marvel, were married on November 6, 1954. Bill worked on the family farm until 22 when he began working in construction, as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He went on to own and operate Marvel Excavating for many years. Bill was a member of Brownback's United Church of Christ, Spring City and attended Roxborough High School. Bill truly enjoyed gardening, working on his Model A, and tinkering in his garage. Bill was known for his strong faith, his generosity, and for always being willing to help anyone in need. Bill is survived by his two children, Bruce R. Marvel, husband of Deborah J. (Kraynak) Marvel, South Coventry Township, and Lorraine C. (Marvel) Cassady, wife of John Cassady, Exeter. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Karen A. DiMarco, wife of George DiMarco, Royersford, Matthew Marvel, Trappe, Ashley Mossie, wife of Daniel Mossie, Exeter, Brett W. Marvel, husband of Aubrey Marvel, Royersford, Eric T. Marvel, husband of Bethany Marvel, Douglassville, Ryan J. Marvel, husband of Lauren Marvel, Audubon, and John Cassady Jr., husband of Amanda Cassady, Temple, and by his great-grandchildren, Noah, Becky, Riley, Hunter, Jack, Leah, Ellie, and Olivia. Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, William W. Marvel, Jr., his granddaughter, Heather Leigh Marvel, and by his sisters, Jean I. Tweedie and Dorothy V. Sibole. Graveside Services will be held privately by Bill's family with burial in Brownback's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Spring City.
