Deloris Brown Salmon, 74, of Broadway, went to be with Jesus in her heavenly home, Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC. Deloris was born on December 5, 1949 in Long Beach, CA to the late James Caviness Brown and Cecelia Marie Brown. She was a graduate of Boone Trail High School and Central Carolina Community College. Deloris worked with Lee County Schools, retiring with 30 years of service. She attended Fayetteville Community Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Deloris loved her family and enjoyed providing wonderful meals for them. She was an avid Carolina Hurricanes, Duke Basketball and NASCAR fan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William Allen Salmon; grandparents, Alvert and Geraldine Brown; brothers, Alvin, and Clarence Brown; sisters, Ruby Fore, and Evelyn Smith; two great grandchildren, Caden, and Cohen Jacobs; brother-in-laws, Woody Salmon, Jimmy Salmon, Keith Thomas, and Donnie Ray Patterson. Deloris is survived by daughter, Dana Salmon of Broadway, son, Jeffrey Salmon of Broadway, daughter, Amy Dearborn and husband, Chris of Sanford, daughter, Allison Kulhanek and husband, Scott of Cameron, daughter, Crystal Yow and husband, Scott of Broadway, daughter, Lisa Bell and husband, Joe of Broadway, 13 grandchildren, Jordan Salmon and girlfriend, Laura, Caroline Jacobs and husband, Jordan, Allen Salmon and wife, Kristen, Lauren Williams and husband, Bryant, Taylor Holbrook and husband, Matthew, Connor Rollins and girlfriend, McKel, Alyssa Kulhanek, Carson Kulhanek, Meredith Yow and fiancé, Kaleb, Landon Yow, Brittny Schack and husband, Brett, Brooke Bell and boyfriend, Chris Micros, Autumn Bell and fiancé, Aaron; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, James Brown and wife, Susan, Leonard Brown and wife, June, Cecil Brown and wife, Linda, William Brown and wife, Eloise; sisters, Lida Buchanan, and Janet Wheeler; sister-in-laws, Donna Patterson, Phyllis McNary and husband, Lee, and Sharon Thomas, Linda Salmon; brother-in-laws, Jerry Salmon and wife, Ginger, and Curtis Salmon and wife Teresa. A funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church, 6670 Old US Hwy 421, Lillington, NC 27546 with Rev. Scott Yow and Rev. Rick Beacham officiating. John Quincy Raines, 69, of Lillington NC, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024. John was born on March 21, 1954, to the late Catherine and Robert Raines in Dunn NC at Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital. He attended Johnston County Public Schools. He was employed at T.R. Ashworth for many years, from 1982-2012. Many friends and loved ones knew him as Tony Buck. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Raines. He was the beloved Father to three daughters Cassandra (Vacaba) Toure of Fuquay NC, Kena (Gregory) Signal of Fuquay NC, and Macy (Corey) Woods of Lillington NC. He also leaves to cherish one Grandson, Cameron Toure of Fuquay NC, and Five Granddogs that he would often take care of Bruno, Moscato, Melo, Charlie, and Russell. Additionally, he leaves to cherish three sisters Narcissa Haire of Benson NC, Linda Badges of Benson NC, Cathy McLean of Benson NC, and one brother William (Rachel) Raines of Benson NC. He was preceded in death by two brothers Paul Raines and Vernie Raines. He also leaves to cherish many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.John was strong-willed and determined to the end, even challenging his medical doctors at times. Despite it all, we loved him dearly and he will be missed by many.Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Trice Funeral Home Chapel 127 N. Timon Wesley Davison

Timon Wesley Davison (Tim) of Erwin, NC (formerly of West Liberty, IA) passed away suddenly on December 8, in Lillington, NC. Tim was born in Washington, IA to Helen and Russell Davison on January 26, 1949. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1971 with a BA in Economics with a minor in Religious Philosophy. In 1974 he earned a Master of Divinity from Saint Paul Seminary in Kansas City, MO. That same year he welcomed his beloved daughter Cherie, followed by son Matthew in 1976. Tim was married to Gail Davison on July 6th, 1984, in Memphis, TN Tim worked for the Veterans Administration for 30 years where he retired as the Chief Chaplain for the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, IA. While working for the VA Medical Center, he also served 34 years for the Tennessee and Iowa Army National Guard where he retired as the STARC Chaplain Colonel at the Joint Forces Headquarters in Des Moines, IA. Tim was a member of the Military Chaplains Association for many years. He also helped create, manage, and lead along with his wife, Gail, the Chaplain Church, State, and Industry Foundation (CSIF) that has provided over $300,000 in scholarships to Chaplain candidates since its inception. Most recently Tim served as the interim Pastor for the Erwin Methodist Church. Outside of Tim’s calling to serve God, veterans, and developing future military Chaplains; he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He enjoyed antique tractors, fixing things, working on machinery, playing many practical jokes, leading church youth groups, and going on mission trips with the many churches he was involved in throughout his life. Tim is preceded in death by his daughter, Cherie, and parents Helen and Russell Davison. Tim is survived by his wife Gail Davison (Erwin, NC), son and daughter-in-law Matt & Dawn Davison and their children, Caroline & Christian, (Fuquay Varina, NC), brother Rollin (Laurie) Davison and several nieces, nephews, and family members whom he loved dearly. A memorial service will be held at the Downey Baptist Church, 2290 Baker Avenue, West Branch, IA 52358 on February 17, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital Headquarters, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

Michelle Williams, 58, of Lillington, passed away, Sunday, February 4, 2024 at her home in Lillington, NC surrounded by friends and family. Michelle was born April 6, 1965 in Kirksville, MO. She was a graduate of Excelsior College and employed with Duke Energy as a Station Scientists Manager. Many knew her as a friend and mentor who inspired all of us with her wisdom and life experiences. Michelle will forever be remembered for her kindness and compassion. She was a pillar to her family and treated everyone she met with love. Michelle was a fun- loving, adventure-seeking woman, who loved her family, and her retreat at the beach dearly. She would lend an ear or hand to anyone in need and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother, June Sunderland; sisters, Gina Sunderland, Traci Sunderland, and niece Stormy Dawn Jones.
