Joe A. Wolford (67) of Frisco, Texas passed away October 1, 2023 with family at his side. Joe was born on March 21, 1956 in Goshen, Indiana to Joseph & Mary Wolford. Upon graduating from Warsaw Community High School in 1974, Joe attended Purdue University where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. Joe had an accomplished career in the field of Information Technology spanning multiple industries, including 18 years at FedEx and most recently at USAA as an Infrastructure Engineer. He also owned and operated a successful small business for over 16 years: Joe Wolford & Associates, Inc. In his free time, Joe enjoyed spending time with loved ones and sharing his many interests with them. Joe's love of baking spanned decades. He would spend many weekends making breads, pies, pizzelles, and other items to share with family and friends. He would often ship care packages to his daughters with treats that accommodated allergies, so everyone could partake. An enthusiastic gardener, his collection included hot peppers and herbs as well as a lemon and lime tree. Joe was proud to grow plants that he could use in the kitchen for his developing culinary tastes. Whenever possible, Joe took advantage of opportunities to grow his garden in an environmentally conscious manner. He also encouraged others in developing a green thumb. Joe was a Sci-Fi enthusiast and weekend gamer enjoying StarTrek and Babylon 5 and games like World of Warcraft and Destiny. Halo multiplayer was a family activity on many Saturday afternoons. Later in life Joe had the opportunity to travel to India, and he developed a love and appreciation for Indian food and culture. He really enjoyed taking his daughters to his favorite local Indian restaurants. Joe was survived by his five daughters and three sons-in-law: Rebekah Reeves (son-in-law Tim Reeves), Rachel Maynes (son-in-law Michael Maynes), Elizabeth Wolford, Hannah Soukup (son-in-law Eric Soukup), and Sarah Wolford; and eight grandchildren: Melody, Brian, and Clara Reeves; Maddox, Kieryn, and Nadiya Maynes; and Alister and Bernadette Soukup. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph Grant and Mary Wolford, and a granddaughter, Ingrid Maynes. In accordance with Joe's wishes, no service or visitation will be held at this time. However, the family would like to encourage friends and family to share their memories of Joe at the bottom of this page. L. C. Baird of Lancaster, formerly of Frisco, Texas, passed away on December 1, 2023. Born in Merkel, TX, L. C. was the son of the late Lloyd Clarence and Geneva Juanita (Hammack) Baird. In high school, he was president of the FFA club and achieved a champion pig trophy. After graduating high school, L. C. began his career in telecommunications at Motorola in El Paso, TX in the early 1970's. He climbed up the corporate ladder and worked for Peter Kiewit, MFS, and lastly, Allegiance Telecom in Dallas where he retired in the early 2000s where he retired as President. Stating L. C. loved the Dallas Cowboys is an understatement as he was their ultimate fan. He also loved his dogs, Gringo and Principe as well as his electric 3-wheeler which he affectionately called "Mamacita. " His true heart and devotion remained with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. L. C. is survived by his children: Mindy L. Terry (wife of Darren) of Dawson, TX and Lance Andrew Baird (husband of Jamie) of Lancaster; his grandchildren: Megan Whiteside (wife of Matt), Taylor Maass, Conner Maass (husband of Stormi); Harper Baird, Lila Baird, Reagan Baird, and Amanda Terry; his great-grandchildren: Lilly and Oliver Maass; his two brothers: Ronnie Baird (husband of Diane) of Abilene, TX and Mike Baird (husband of Tootie Vickers) of Corpus Christi, TX. ; a special family friend Tina Allen and her daughter Kassidy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Nona Marie Rieder Rossio, 87, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on December 2, 2023 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born on April 13, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio to Orville and Lillian Rieder. Nona graduated from Parma High School in Parma, OH, and Miami University in Oxford, OH. She first met the love of her life, David Rossio, in 3rd grade. Many years later, the pair reunited and married. In 2023 Dave and Nona celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. After leaving her teaching career to raise two children, Nona joined Dave in the family business, Rossio Jewelry. Combining her passion for travel with her love of family, Nona saved her paychecks to fund annual family vacations. It was on one of those vacations that her son met his future wife. Nona, known as 'Nonie' to her four grandchildren, was the backbone of her family. A strong role model and a fierce advocate, she always put her husband and family first. Nona's dedication to her loved ones was unwavering, and she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. Nona and Dave spent most of their lives in the Cleveland area, with homes in Rocky River and Westlake, OH. A move to the warmer climates of Florida after retirement in 2002 brought a new phase of life and many new friends. In 2018, Nona and Dave moved to Texas to be closer to their two children, David and Dana. Nona is survived by her loving husband, David Lee Rossio; her son, David Brian (Cari) Rossio; daughter, Dana (Brian) Agnew; grandchildren: Matthew (Alexandra) Agnew; Michael (Cate) Rossio; Sarah Agnew; and Elizabeth Rossio; and sister-in- law, Sandra (Bruce) Molinaroli and family. She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Rieder, and her mother, Lillian Roggenburg Rieder. Nona's memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. An adored husband of 24 years to Karen Marie Nydam, and a devoted father to Morgan, Brooke, and Ryan. Don was born in Saddlebrook, NJ, to his parents Donald Nydam and Darlene Ackerman. He was a beloved brother to Debra Nydam: a loving uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He departed from this world on December 1st, 2023 leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and enduring memories. A true aficionado of smoked delicacies, Don was a culinary maestro when it came to the art of smoking meat. Beyond his culinary prowess, Don was an avid lover of cars, possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of makes and models. He could often be found tinkering under the hood, reveling in the symphony of revving engines and the allure of a well-maintained machine. In addition to his hands-on pursuits, Don was also an enthusiast of technology. From the latest gadgets to innovativeadvancements, he embraced the ever-evolving world of technology with curiosity and excitement. His knack for understanding and adapting to the digital landscape showcased his forward-thinking approach to life. Professionally, Don excelled in all his endeavors, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues. George was widely respected for his esteemed career as a Dentist, leaving a lasting impact on his patients with his expertise and dedication. His gentle nature and genuine concern for others made him a trusted dental professional. Devoted to his faith, George was an active member of the Prestonwood Baptist Church, where he found strength and community. His deep connection to his faith was evident in his selfless acts of kindness and his unwavering support for those in need. In addition to his successful career, George valued his family above all else. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband to Mary and a caring father. George cherished every moment spent with his family, creating beautiful memories that will be treasured. Sally Ann Dunlap of Dallas, Texas formerly of Frisco, Texas peacefully passed away on November 28, 2023, in Frisco, Texas, at the age of 85. She was born on August 12, 1938, the cherished daughter of William Richard Stockwell and Maudie Elizabeth (Easley) Stockwell in San Antonio, Texas. Sally Ann spent her childhood in San Antonio and graduated from South San Antonio High School. One memorable achievement from her senior year was being crowned Miss Bobcat. On June 14, 1957, Sally started a lifelong journey with the love of her life, the late Gene I. Dunlap. Together, they shared countless joyous moments and built a strong foundation of love and devotion until Gene's passing in 2019. Above all, Sally's greatest joy and source of pride came from her family. She was a devoted and nurturing mother to her children, instilling in them values of love, kindness, and resilience; as a grandmother, Sally's heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren. She worked at Kelly Field Air Force base prior to raising three children. Later, Sally dedicated 27 years to MBNA Hallmark Information Services; retiring in 2002. She and her husband were members of Cornerstone Family Church in Richardson for 41 years prior to her passing. Sally Ann Dunlap was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed dearly by her family and those who knew her. She is survived by her son, Douglas Dunlap and wife, Pam of Garfield, Arkansas; daughter, Michelle Stevens of Frisco, Texas; son, Gary Dunlap and wife, Sallie of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters, Brittani McMahan and husband, Ryan, Alyssa Martin and husband, Sam, Tiffany Dunlap, and Chloe Stevens; grandson, Max Dunlap; and numerous other loving family members and cherished friends. Emily (Goldman) Lookadoo 1969 - 2023 Emily has left us to be with her Lord and Savior. She was a compassionate and understanding soul who touched the lives of many. She left a legacy of love. Preceded in death by her parents Herbert Goldman and Allene Goldman, sisters Carol Goldman and Suzanne Goldman. Survived by siblings Lisa Goldman, Rayna Goldman, Justin Goldman, Niece Mia Goldman and children Aliyeh, Jeremy and Isaiah. Emily spent her formative years in Lakewood, graduated from Woodrow Wilson HS, attended University of Texas at Arlington, earned a Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting from California State University, had a successful career in Accounting and enjoyed working with Rodan+Fields. Emily had a beautiful warm heart for animals. Her life exemplified the teachings of love and empathy, creating a nurturing environment for her family and those blessed enough to know her. Her home was a haven for love and acceptance, where laughter and warmth filled the air. A caregiver for foster children, Emily and her former spouse Justin adopted three brilliant beautiful children, embracing and encouraging their individuality, and remained close with each biological family. She loved her children and took on any challenge or new development in their lives with courage and grace. Emily was an accomplished individual and team skydiver, rock climber, lover of nature, all things fitness and adventure. She was focused, disciplined, excelled in her endeavors, recognized with her employer's Core Value Carpe Diem Award. Emily leaves behind a lasting impact through her children, who carry forward the values she instilled.
