Patricia Mosser

Age - N/A

November 23, 2023

It is with heavy hearts and a multitude of fond memories that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Patricia Jean Mosser, on November 13, 2023. Born in Wareham, Massachusetts, on Friday, February 26, 1943, amidst historical chaos with World War II looming large, she arrived in a world facing tumultuous times, ultimately becoming a beacon of love, joy, and laughter. A member of the silent generation, Mom lived a life that resonated with kindness and adventure. In her early years, amidst wartime news and the vibrant cinema debut of "Stormy Weather," she entered the world, marking her presence during a momentous era. Mom's life was adorned with travels that spanned continents - from the enchanting landscapes of Japan to the stunning beauty of Australia, the historic charm of London, Ireland's green landscapes, Germany's rich history, the scenic beauty of Norway, the colorful tulip fields of Holland, and the tropical paradise of Hawaii, among many other destinations. Her Alaskan escapade with Daughter Lisa and Cousin Judy Brooks remains a cherished memory, where their knack for attracting attention didn't go unnoticed, especially by some very attentive gentlemen who graciously escorted them. She was a woman cherished by all who knew her - her kindness, warmth, and caring nature were simply irresistible. Her dedication to volunteer work at Herman Memorial Hospital for 12 years alongside her husband William (Bill) reflected her giving spirit. Games were her delight, and she often lit up the room with her infectious laughter during family gatherings. Her tenure as a secretary at Landrum Jr. High in Houston, TX, was testament to her work ethic and dedication. Later, she ventured to Mexico City and finally settled in New Orleans, LA, where she worked in the billing department at Kerr Steamship Co. As the eldest of eight siblings, she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by her cherished siblings David, Matthew, James, Gail (deceased) Roger, Paula, and Gregory, as well as her adoring children David Lamar, Lisa Ruth, Michael Edward, and Todd Aaron. Additionally, she will be lovingly remembered by her stepchildren Richard Mosser and Suzie Kuklovsky. In celebrating her life, let us remember the joy she brought, the love she shared, and the laughter that echoed in her presence. She leaves a void impossible to fill but also a lifetime of beautiful memories that will continue to inspire us. Rest in peace, dear Mom, your love, and light will forever guide us.
