Jody Carlson Obituary

Jody A. Carlson, age 73 of Cary, passed away on April 21, 2023 at her home, surrounded by family. She was born March 26, 1950 in Elgin, IL. , the daughter of Laverne and Lorraine Jurs. They precede her in death. Jody is survived by her husband Ernest "Corky" Carlson whom she married on May 17, 1969 in Barrington, her sons: Craig Carlson and Christopher (Amy) Carlson, her grandchildren: Leaha and Vaughn as well as her sister Sue (Ronald) Antor Jody, along with Corky owned and operated E. Carlson & Sons excavating Company. Jody graduated from Barrington High School in 1968 and went to work at Wenzel Jewelers in Barrington as a bridal consultant and diamond purchasing. She was very instrumental in creating the Fire Safety House for the Cary Fire Protection district. Jody loved her dogs as well as gardening and her time at their 2nd home in Mercer, WI. We also need to mention her pride and joy, a 1967 Chevy Camaro. A Memorial Service is being planned for a later date in Cary as well as Mercer.
