Edith Hryczaniuk, age 71, of Brandon, Florida passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Edith was born in Washington, D. C. on March 21st, 1952 to Junior Murphy and Margaret Murphy. She was raised in the DC Metro with her sister Linnie and her mother Margaret and stepfather Calvin Gray. Edith married young and had two children Brian and Margaret (Maggie). Later in life she found her true love, George Hryczaniuk. They were married and soon after moved the family to Florida. After moving to Florida Edith and George had another child, George (Georgie) and raised their family there until moving to Virginia to be with George's family on the farm. While there, the love Edith and George had for each other was ever present. They opened a small town barber shop and worked side-by-side for over 10 years, becoming a staple in Louisa Virginia. Edith and George loved spending their down time going to Nags Head N. C. and enjoying the beach. That love for the beach brought them back to Florida to live out the rest of their lives. Edith lost her true love in life in 2007 when George passed. She was the mother of 3 children, Brian, Maggie and Georgie and stepmother to Lori. She was a grandmother to 7 and great grandmother to 8. Of her children she is survived by her 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters Linnie Robinson and Catherine Breakfield and also very large extended family in the Tampa Bay area. We don't believe a bad word was ever spoken about Edith. She has always been said to have had the heart of a Saint and the patience of Jobe. Edith will be dearly missed. May her infectious smile and loving memories be in our hearts forever as she rejoins her true love for eternity. May they walk the sandy beaches and ride the golden highways in heaven together forever. A visitation for Edith will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm.Show more
