Matthew Glen Tyndall, a beloved son, brother, father and friend, passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 31 in Florence, SC. Matt's life was marked by adventure, intelligence, and a country boy spirit that endeared him to all who knew him. His passions were varied, from fishing to riding his go-kart, working on cars, mopeds, and four-wheelers. He had a virtuoso talent for anything music. As a child, Matt, along with his sister Makayla, brother parker, and two cousins Phillip & Miranda formed an unbreakable bond that carried them through their lives. They shared countless memories and experiences, facing the world together. These precious moments will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to witness the strong sibling connection that Matt held dear. Matt leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his son, Grayson Tyndall, who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his parents, glen and Shannon Tyndall, grandparents, Walter Tyndall and Janice Suggs, as well as his sister Makayla, brother Parker, nephews Wyatt and Weston Holladay, cousins Phillip and Miranda Tyndall, Kadance Suggs, and Isabella Odom. In the hearts of those who knew him best, Matt's memory will live on through the stories of his adventurous spirit, his smart and goofy nature, and his undeniable intelligence. He was a true country boy at heart, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life and sharing his talents with those around him. Matt's partner, Cassi Baker, his childs mother, Deena Anderson, his aunts and uncles Stacie Suggs, Kimberly Rogers and Rodney Tyndall, and many friends mourn his passing, knowing that his presence will be deeply missed. Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles R. Suggs and Betty Tyndall and best friend Timmie Cassidy who all welcomed him with open arms into heaven. A service to honor Matt's life will be held at Belk Funeral Home on West Broad Street, Darlington, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Belk Funeral Home in memory of Matt. The family would like to extend a special message of gratitude to the McLeod staff on the trauma surgical floor for their hard work, dedication, and support during this difficult time. Maurice Eugene Owens, Gene, 68 years old, of Florence, S.C., passed away at 12:11pm on Thursday February 8th. He was born in Ft. Knox, Kentucky to James Alfred and Renate Link Owens. He is predeceased by his Parents and brother, James Johannes Owens. Surviving is a brother: Michael Douglas Owens, sister-in-law: Treva Dianne Owens, nephew: Michael Link Owens, niece: Brooklyn Danielle Danko, great nephews: Johnny Danko IV and Henry Atilla Danko, great niece: Dovie Joann Danko, Cousins: Wade Vanhoy and Christy Willis, life-long friend: Beth Warshaw, and adopted niece: Jenna Pearlstine. Maurice was a skilled musician and tradesman, a " Jack of all trades". He was heavily involved in the local AA group, did a lot of service work, was president of the Twelve Step Service Club, Inc., a major part of Favor Pee Dee, Inc., and spent many years working with the Owls Nest Recovery Community. Lois Leigh O’Neal Yopp, 85, of Florence, SC passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Mrs. Yopp was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late Benjamin Streett and Bessie Harrell Streett. She was a veteran of the US Air Force and a longtime member of Unity Baptist Church. She retired from McLeod Regional Medical Center after 30+ years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James D. O’Neal and second husband, Jimmy Yopp; brother, W.B. Streett; sisters, Frances Broome and Martha Lewis. Surviving are her son, Kevin (Stacey) O’Neal; daughter, Karla (Robert) Cauthen; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2024 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. William Cecil Bagnal, 84, met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, February 16, 2024 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. He was a lifetime member of Westside Baptist Church in Sumter. He visited other churches later in life. He was the husband of the late Peggy L. Haley Bagnal and a son of the late Belton and Bessie Bagnal. He was preceded in death by his fur babies, Panzer, Chin Ho, Mandy and Sugar Plum. Surviving are his sister-in-law, Marie Haley-Bernsen (Sweet Marie), her husband Charles Bernsen, a sister-in-law Bernice Haley (the late J.P. Haley); 7 nieces and nephews, and 2 very special friends, Thomas Atkinson and Bruce Brabham. Cecil was a devoted son, devoted husband, humble, honorable man, and loyal friend. He was a true Southern gentleman. Cecil grew up all over South Carolina. He attended McClenaghan High School in Florence. He settled with his parents in Sumter, SC, enlisted in the Navy from 1959-1963. He was an airship specialist and his fondest memories are of his stay at Lakehurst Naval Base in New Jersey. He was an employee of Fort Roofing and Sheet Metal Works for 45 years where he was loved and highly respected and where he literally whistled while he worked. He loved America. He loved racecars and Elvis more than anything. He had a passion for history, farming, the stars, westerns and cathead biscuits. He started every day with a piping hot cup of black coffee, pressed jeans and a starched shirt. He had a quick wit, was the funniest guy and will be missed by all who knew him. He lived his later life in Manning, SC. A graveside service will be held 2 PM Friday at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Sumter. His family will receive friends after the service.
