"Joanne Elizabeth Bullion, 76, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2023, at her home in Roy, Washington with family by her side. Joanne was born on June 28, 1946, in Park Rapids, Minnesota to Harold and Barbara Hamblin. She graduated from St. Leos High School in 1964, earned an BS in teaching in 1987 and a MS in teaching in 1995 from Pacific Lutheran University. Joanne married James (Jim) Bullion in August of 1967 and lived in Parkland, Washington for a few years before relocating to their home in Roy, Washington where she lived for 50 years. She had three siblings and was predeceased by her father Harold, mother Barbara, sister Rosanne and brother Steven. Joanne is survived by her husband Jim, brother James Hamblin and her three children: Rodney Bullion, Conrad (Randy) Bullion and Desiree Radice. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Macailla, Alexx, Macenzie, Austen, Maddy, Willy, Connor, Breanna, Jacob, Ryan, Rebecca and five great-grandchildren: Jake, Olivia, Kaiser, Grayson and Miles. Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a devout Catholic and regularly attended Mass at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church for 55 years. Joanne taught at Roy Elementary and was very proud of her students. She found great joy in watching them grow and learn. She was an excellent baker, always making homemade bread and the best pies anyone has ever had. She also loved gardening and enjoyed spending time tending to her beautiful flowerbeds and gardens. Her talent for sewing was evident in the clothes, dresses and blankets she would make. Many of which she would donate to those in difficult situations. A memorial Mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in her name. "
