JoAnn "Butter" Szabo StonerockJoAnn "Butter" Szabo Stonerock, 74, New Matamoras, OH, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Born in Barberton, OH, on December 13, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elaine Schneider Szabo. She was a 1967 graduate of Kenmore High School. She was a self-employed upholsterer for most of her life. JoAnn was known as "Jo Bob Villa" and could tear a house apart and put it back together even better. This could be remembered by seven different kitchens at the farmhouse. She grew up in Kenmore, but home was the farmhouse that she loved, in New Matamoras. Besides renovating the farmhouse and everyone else's homes, she loved to travel and hunt big foot. She was a life-long collector of antiques. She spent years of her life researching ancestry with her cousin, Sheila. Her favorite memories were with family and friends. She is survived by her children, David (Tessie) Creighton, Joseph (Shanea) Creighton, and Celesta (Heath) Halstead; grandchildren, Tommy (Georgia) Creighton, Emily Creighton, Justin (Donnie) King, Josie Creighton, and Cameron Creighton; sisters, Charmaine Jenkins, and Patricia (Bruce) Corrick; her fur-babies, Maggie, Willow, and Barn Cat; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 43 years, Thomas Oliver Stonerock, and sisters, Carolyn Corrick, and Marolyn Szabo. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, June 24, 2022 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV, with Pastor David Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery in New Matamoras, OH. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P. M. Thursday and from 10 to 11 A. M. Friday at the funeral home.
