Peter W Gehris, 85 of Palm Harbor FL passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at St Francis hospital. Peter was born on September 19, 1938, in Hartford, CT to Joseph L. Gehris and Beth Williams Gehris. He graduated from Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT in 1956 and from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in1960. After serving on active duty as a member of the New Jersey Army National Guard, he joined Travelers Insurance Company in 1963. That year he married the love of his life Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Jones. Last year they celebrated 60 wonderful years together. During his career at the Travelers he held a number of positions, including Vice President Underwriting, Vice President Annuity Division, Vice President Marketing and General Agents, Vice President Travel Insurance Division, and President of Travelers Equity Sales Inc. He retired from the Travelers in 1993 after 30 years of service, and founded Travel Insured International where he was Chairman, President, and CEO. Pete was proud to have the opportunity to work with both his sons at Travel Insured. He was a generous man who prided himself on the ability to form a fun, friendly, family environment at Travel Insured. He enjoyed interacting with the employees on a daily basis up until his retirement in 2018. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandsons play hockey, and was eagerly anticipating the birth of his great-grandchild late this March. Pete is survived by his beloved wife Betty, his son Jonathan D Gehris, daughter-in-law Tina Gehris and grandchildren Ashley Puniello and her husband Nick, Peter J Gehris and his wife Reagan, Nicholas Gehris and Noah Gehris. Pete was predeceased by his son Jeremy Scott Gehris and his brother David V.R. Gehris. He is also survived by Jeremy's wife Sharon Gehris of South Windsor and grandchildren Crystal Gehris and Trent Gehris. Pete leaves behind a treasured sister-in-law Jane Gehris of Palm Harbor FL, brother Jonathan A Gehris and sister-in-law Kathy of Medford, N.J. and numerous nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peter's memory may be made to The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving- The Gehris Family Foundation fund. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Pete's caregiver and endless entertainer Paulette.

Jane F. Ogle, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 23rd, 2024, at the age of 81. She passed peacefully at her home in Palm Harbor, Florida. She was born on November 10th, 1942, in Fremont, Ohio, to the late Wilson and Phyllis (King) Baker. Her hobbies and interests were quilting, sewing, scrapbooking, and going on long walks. She enjoyed attending and serving at her church, through various ministries throughout her life. Jane's passion for service extended beyond her local community, as she embarked on two mission trips to Mexico with Busses International. She also found joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her many friends. During Jane’s life she worked as a homemaker, as an American Red Cross social worker, and as a computer specialist for Edison High School. Jane is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronald Ogle of Palm Harbor. She is also survived by her children: Robin (Joe) Feicht of Fredricktown, OH; Mark (Cindy) Sheets of Fort Myers, FL; Jill (Tony) Roth of Norwalk, OH, and Jennifer Ogle of Palm Harbor, FL. Additionally, she is survived by her dear brother, James (Sandy) Baker, of Marysville, OH, as well as her 13 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. Services to honor and celebrate Jane's life will be officiated by Pastor Harry Strackan from Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland on Saturday, March 2nd. The viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at noon at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home located at 98 W. Main Street in Norwalk, Ohio. Robert (Bob) White, 94, passed away on February 16, 2024. He was born on January 3, 1930, in Akron, Ohio. He is predeceased by his parents, Russel and Catherine (née Walczak) White, and his brother, Donald L. White. Robert graduated from Buchtel High School, Akron, Ohio, in 1948, where he ran both cross-country and track. He specialized in both distance running and sprints. He achieved success in track and field and loved to show people his favorite track clipping from the Akron Beacon Journal. He met Janet in 1946 and they were married June 4, 1950. They were married 73 years. Robert enlisted in the United States Army in 1948. He was initially placed in the Tank Company, 3rd platoon, at Ft Meade Maryland. He took communications training at Ft Knox, Kentucky. In Korea, he was promoted to Communication Chief, 24th division, where he proudly attained his Master Sargent rank. Robert was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB), a United States Army military decoration, for his service in the Korean Conflict. His CIB was special to him because it was awarded for performing duties while personally present and under fire. In 1964, the White family moved to Florida where they lived in Clearwater. He was in sales and a small business owner, eventually retiring with Janet to Palm Harbor. Bob was proud of his family and in addition, he liked a good cappuccino, loved cookies and, chocolate, enjoyed doing counted cross-stitch, and working jigsaw puzzles. Robert is survived by his wife, Janet; three daughters, Diane Lynne White, Linda Ann Miller, and Karen Marie Adams; two grandchildren, Megan Rebecca Adams, and Eric Ryan Adams; and one great grandson, Arlo Michael Adams.

He served as a proud Marine and was retired from the C & P Telephone Company. He was married to and cared for the love of his life, Mary Pitcher, for 68 years before she passed away. He is survived by his son, Robert E. Upperman, Sr. (Emily) of South Carolina; his daughter, Linda Butler (William) of Hawaii; grandchildren: Bobby (Tamara) of North Carolina; Greg (Jennifer) of Virginia; Christy Valdez of Hawaii, and Stephanie Caras of Virginia; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and 4 nieces and nephews. On February 16, 2024, Margie Cameron peacefully passed away. She was surrounded by the love of her children and at long last joined in heaven with her beloved husband, Paul Cameron. Margie married Paul, the love of her life in 1971.Margie was the last surviving sibling of 6 children, born to Norman and Esther Custer on September 15, 1929. Margie is survived by her three children, Mindy, Scott and Lee Ann Cameron, her precious dog Maxxie, her grandchildren Laura, Melinda, Megan, Nadia and Sandy; great grandchildren Sammy, Nora, Jimmy, Virginia, Brianna, Jessica, Audrey, Kadance; and a great great grandchild, Aiden.Margie retired as a supervisor for Ma Bell/ AT & T after 30 years. She and Paul moved to Huntsville, Ohio, built a beautiful log cabin and started their second careers creating The Cameron Family Farm, raising pigs and enjoying their dogs, a horse and donkey. They opened Cameron Feed Supply and enjoyed much success running their farm and feed store until deciding in July of 1997 to retire to Florida where they bought a home and enjoyed bowling, golf and spending time with incredible friends.Margie will be remembered as a petite lady with a sweet but determined personality who was the love of Paul’s life and a force to be reckoned with. She was small but mighty, loved fiercely and graced all our lives with her kind heart. She loved to laugh, play cards, enjoy a cocktail, bowl and most of all, be with Paul.Her family would like to thank her dear friends Ron and Lisa, Lou and Sandy and her confidant and dear friend Mary, who surrounded her with love and support for all these years after our Daddy passed away. She commented often that she was so grateful for everything they did to take care of her after he died and that she couldn’t have made it without them. Our hearts are full of gratitude to all of them.It was Margie’s wishes to be interned with Paul on the Central Coast in California among family. In keeping with Margie’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service held, therefore in lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes to may make donations in her name to the American Cancer Society or SunCoast Hospice of Pinellas County.

Schomburg, Janice age 60, of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away February 12, 2024 following a long struggle with dementia. Janice was born in Staten Island, New York, November 30, 1963 the daughter of Exail Louise Pinnell and Bradford Berg. Janice married Clifford Schomburg at Saint Paul Methodist Church in Largo, Florida November 6, 1982. Together they happily shared 41 years of marriage. Janice is survived by her husband, Clifford Schomburg, her sons, Clifford Schomburg Jr and Ryan Schomburg, and her brother and sister, Robert Berg and Susan Campbell. She received her master’s in education and loved teaching both adults and children during her career. As a proud Coast Guard spouse, she moved around the country before ultimately settling in Florida. She loved gardening, time with family and summertime on Cape Cod. Her celebration of life will be held at at Veterans Funeral Care, time and date will be provided soon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Janice A. Schomburg scholarship fund for underprivileged students.

Michelle Lorraine Hutter, 57, of Palm Harbor, Florida, went up to Heaven to have tea with her grandmother, Catherine, on the evening of February 13, 2024. At the time of her departure, she was surrounded by love and family. She blessed this Earth with her presence on June 23, 1966 with the help of her parents, Bill and Lorraine Horeis. Chelle married the love of her life, Hot Kenny Boy Hutter, on March 3, 1994. Together, they lived a life full of love and excitement. They not only built many houses together, they built a home in themselves that gave their four children the most amazing place to live, love, and grow. Mom loved her family fiercely and with the most acceptance, understanding, and forgiveness. She lived for her children and unofficial children that she has gathered along the way. No matter what, the door and her arms were always open. Growing up and to this day, Melba has her heart and compassion mostly due to her Dad. No matter how much someone grows, once a Daddy’s girl always a Daddy’s girl. She loved you most of all, Gramps. Bright blue eyes and a soul like no other, she changed the world for all of us. Gone too soon but never forgotten. She’s still here with us in our hearts forever. The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memories of you shall never fade away. Michelle is survived by her husband, Ken; her children, Kathryn, Madelyn, Abigail, and Julien; Parents, Bill and Lorraine; Sister, Valery; Loved ones, Lisa, Savannah, Patrick, Petros, and Nikki; Dogs, Daisy and Delilah. Joseph Anthony Laguna, 80, passed away on February 5th in Palm Harbor Florida, surrounded by his family.Joseph was born April 29th, 1943, in Arequipa, Peru, to Jose and Georgina Laguna. Joseph received his pilot’s license at the age of 16, served in the Navy and earned his M.D. before immigrating to the U.S. to pursue his American dream.He built a thriving medical practice in Clearwater, where he served his community for nearly 40 years. After retiring from clinical medicine in 2021, Joseph maintained his passion and specialization in aviation medicine and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration until his passing.Joseph considered his family to be his greatest accomplishment; he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.Joseph is survived by his wife Linda, son Michael (Michelle) Laguna, daughter Lauren (Stuart) Bell, grandchildren Arrow, Nora, Alex and Maija-Ann, and siblings Amanda, Silvia, Jorge, and Hugo.A funeral service will be held on February 20th at 11am at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens.Donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to Suncoast Animal League in lieu of flowers.
