JoAnn Bachmann, 94 passed away peacefully in the afternoon of June 15, 2022, at Bethesda North Hospital. JoAnn was visited and comforted by family and friends at the time of her passing. JoAnn Bachmann was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 30, 1927. She was the first of four children to Anna Lotus Thompson. JoAnn was preceded in death by her loving husbands Ronald Bachmann and Jim Hopping and treasured siblings Marilyn Thompson Eppert and brother- in- law C. Kenneth Eppert, James and Robert Thompson. JoAnn is survived by her loving daughters Gayle (Gary) Coburn and Teri (Rory) Wickham and her adoring grandchildren Liz (Jud) Cloppert, Will (Bek) Wickham, Sarah (Nick) Luehrman and Nataly Wickham and her five great grandchildren: Olivia and Owen Luehrman and Autumn, McKenzy and Brooke Wickham and her sister- in- law Phyllis Thompson. JoAnn loved being with her family. She was often heard humming or singing show tunes. She also enjoyed taking in the arts and was a world traveler, visiting many destinations in America and beyond. Her most beloved trips include Prague, Hawaii, Vienna, California and the time she spent living abroad in Ireland with her late husband Ron Bachmann. JoAnn was a devoted friend. She delighted in playing bridge, shopping and having meals. JoAnn was also known for helping others as she was a 25-year volunteer for Hospice of Cincinnati. JoAnn was a longtime member of her church, Sharonville United Methodist Church where she participated in Bible study groups, Hospitality Committee and many service projects over the years. JoAnn will be missed by all the lives she has touched. A visitation and memorial service will be held on July 2, 2022, at Sharonville United Methodist Church 3751 Creek Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45241. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a. m. with the memorial service immediately after at 11:00 a. m. Following the service, please join the family for a luncheon, also at the church. JoAnn will be laid to rest at the Rest Haven Memorial Park on July 5, 2022, at 11:00 a. m. All are welcome to attend at Rest Haven Memorial Park 10209 Plainfield Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45241.
