Joan Davis Gilliam Joan Davis Gilliam, 83, of Haw River passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Lacy G. Davis and Mildred Graham Davis, both deceased. She was a retired hosiery worker. Survivors include a life partner, Lonnie Melford Williams, Sr. of Haw River; two daughters, Tina Williams Allen and fiance Keith of Virginia and Shannon Williams Riggins and husband Rodney of Burlington; son, Lonnie "Lon" Melford Williams, II and wife Michelle Lynn Williams of Gibsonville; three sisters, Joyce Mrizek, Rita Hall, and Irma Gilley; three brothers, Harold Davis, Steve Davis, and Jeff Davis; grandchildren, Aaron and wife Courtney, Caitlyn, Brandon, Cole and wife Emily, and Dylan; and great grandchildren, Carter, Remington, Lilly, and Henry. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Olivia; great grandson, Lane; brothers, Gerald Davis and Ronald Davis; and sister, Madge Davis. A time of reflection and remembrance will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p. m. at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington. At other times the family will be at the residence of a daughter, Shannon Riggins.
