SUCHAN - Mary S. (nee Sullivan) November 2, 1931 - November 20, 2023. After a life well lived, Mary Suchan (nee Sullivan) died peacefully on November 20, 2023 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of 70 years of the late Richard Suchan; devoted mother to Mary Ellen (Cindy Manarina) Suchan, Margaret (Michael) Suchan-Pickert, Colleen (Theodore) Amgott, Richard (Donna) Suchan and Kathleen (late Donald) Bunch; loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren, Lisa Pickert (Scott Kincaid), Jeff, Jeremiah, and Laura Pickert, Jonathan and Natalie Amgott, Elizabeth (Andrew) Suchan-Reitz, Richard (Emily Nowels) Suchan, Catherine (Tyler) Suchan Coniglio, Steven and Madelyn Bunch; great-grandchild, John "Jack" Reitz; predeceased by her parents, Jeremiah and Agnes (nee Lyman) Sullivan and her in-laws, Charles and Pauline (nee Poorten) Suchan; dearest sister of the late Jeremiah (Dolores) Sullivan and the late Agnes (late Thomas) Cox; sister-in-law to Eleanor (late James) Batt, and predeceased by Charles (late Claire) Suchan, Paula (late Robert) Shea, Dorothy Suchan, Jeanne (late Francis) Long, Rev. William Suchan, SJ, Rev. Robert Suchan, SJ, Mary Ann (late John) Perry, Sr. Mary Lou Suchan, SMSM, and Patricia (late John) Walter; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present Friday, December 1, 2023, from 4-8 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 5200 Sheridan Dr. (at Hopkins Rd. ). Family and friends are invited Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 9:30 AM to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Peace, 10950 Main St. , Clarence. Interment private and later in the day. Mary was a loving, faith-filled wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She adored her children and grandchildren. Mary was a prayer warrior and a quilter extraordinaire who never forgot a birthday. With her playful spirit, she enjoyed a corny joke and a lively card game. Her candy dish was never empty. Mary was the past President of Our Lady of Peace Altar and Rosary Society, and the co-founder of the Clarence Log Cabin Quilters Association.
