Joan Conrad Obituary

Joan Elaine Conrad, 89, of Terre Haute, died May 8, 2023 at Riderwood Assisted Living in Silver Spring, Maryland. She was born to Ernest (Ernie) Murle and Dora (Hess) Murle in Riley, and attended Riley High School where she played violin. She is survived by her son, Mark, of Washington, DC, and was preceded in death by her brother, Rodney; parents, Ernie and Dora Murle; step-father Kilbourne Donham; daughter, Elaine and husband, Richard. Joan worked at Terre Haute First National Bank where she met and later married her husband Richard Conrad in 1956. Joan was Den Mother for Cub Scouts of the Wabash Valley, an active member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority and volunteer for the Service League of Union Hospital. Joan was known for her wry sense of humor and could find a reason to laugh at most anything. Her gentle, loving and caring spirit made her a delight to all and she was a favorite among the wonderful staff at Riderwood, where she lived since 2017. Funeral services will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park on/at?????????. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in memory of Joan to a charity of your choice.
