Clyde Lindberg

Age - 71

December 6, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Clyde Dennis Lindberg, 71, of Saint Paul, Minnesota on the early morning of November 22, 2023. Clyde was born in Robbinsdale on September 10, 1952, to John Stanley and Hildegard Lindberg (nee Keller) and spent his youth outdoors. He attended Robbinsdale Cooper High School before studying Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning, and Refrigeration at the Dunwoody College of Technology. As a sheet metal foreman, Clyde "tinman" Lindberg worked for Allan Mechanical for many years until retirement. Clyde had such a positive attitude, always made us laugh, showed true grit, and he maintained an incredible will to survive. He was truly one of a kind, hospitable, up for anything and always made you feel special (unless you were a Packer fan)! Everyone who knew Clyde knew his passion for life and how much he loved fishing, music, travel, golf, and anything he could do with family or friends. In fact, he was recently certified to scuba dive while vacationing with his dear partner Laura in Honduras. We couldn't have asked for a better partner, sibling, dad, uncle, grandpa, friend, and will miss Clyde every day. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and his spouse Mary Ann Lindberg. He is survived by his siblings, Margitta Lindberg (Mike Hansel) and Michael (Meagan) Lindberg; his life partner and family, Laura Spitzmueller Childs, Amanda Childs, and Emily (Art) Dominguez; his stepchildren, Jill (David) Buczkowski, Jeff (Athena) Unze, Mara (Jeramie) Lund; and his grandchildren, Parker and Spencer Unze, and Lilly Lund; his nieces Elysia Hansel, Laura (Shane) Tsubaki, Savannah and Zoe Lindberg; and great nieces Addison and Harper Tsubaki. The Celebration of Life will be held at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel (3600 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis) at 10:00 am on Monday, December 18, 2023 followed by a reception at the Lakewood Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations to Our Lady of Peace Hospice would be greatly appreciated. ourladyofpeacemn. org/memorial-gifts/Lady of Peace To donate by mail, make checks payable to Our Lady of Peace and send to: Our Lady of Peace, Attn: Lisa Sweeney, 2076 St. Anthony Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55104. Karen Jensen

Karen Jensen

Age - 62

December 2, 2023

On November 29, 2023, after a battle with cancer, the spirit of Karen Marie Jensen flew off to the heavens. Karen loved water and the outdoors from an early age due to the encouragement of her parents. They took her walleye fishing in Canada before she was one year old. She learned to canoe and sail at the family cabin at Mille Lacs Lake. Through her work as an engineer, protecting and restoring Minnesota’s waters, she was able to live her values. Karen studied chemistry at Augsburg College and worked at 3M. She worked at the Outward Bound School in Ely teaching canoeing, camping, winter camping and dog sledding. Her time at Outward Bound furthered her interest to work with water. Karen received her master’s degree in civil engineering, focusing on the environmental study of water quality in lakes, streams and rivers. She was fortunate to build a career at the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services. Karen and her husband Jim paddled and camped on many adventures including Norway, Alaska, Newfoundland, New Zealand, and the BWCA. Both were happiest in camping clothes, often sleeping under the stars without a tent to get views of the night sky. After Jim’s death, Karen’s life was enriched by her many friends: high school women’s group; boating group; her co-workers; her neighbors; and her family. She was an avid knitter and the members of the knitting group brought her great joy. Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Rada; parent-in-laws, Chuck and Della Rada; and brother-in-law, Rico Rada. She is survived by her parents, Don and Marlette Jensen; sisters, Karol Jensen and Kim (Chuck) Knandel; niece and nephews, Aly and Ryan (Dani) Knandel and Sam (Amelia) Rada; great grand niece and nephew, Saskia and Silas Rada; and sister-in-law, Rojean Rada (Tom Darling). A celebration of Karen’s life will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023, 11:00 A. M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The family requests no flowers. All memorials will be donated to The Nature Conservancy in Minnesota (minnesota@tnc. org).Show more
