"Juan Ignacio Garcia, (65), of Houston, TX went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2023. Juan, fondly known as "Don Juanito" to many and "Papa Juan" to his grandchildren was born to Felix and Lucinda Garcia on August 1, 1958 in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He married Rosalinda Garcia. Together they raised their two sons. Juan was preceded in death by his Father Felix Garcia and Mother Lucinda Garcia. He is survived by his 2 sons, Juan Jose Garcia and Felix Garcia; 8 grandchildren, Esiree Garcia-Raphael, Naomi Garcia, Natalie Garcia, Elodie Garcia, Eveline Garcia, Emily Garcia, Juan Jose Garcia Jr. , Jay Garcia; and 1 great-grandson, Timothy Raphael Jr. Juan will be remembered as the young hearted, easy going man he always was. His great legacy and hard work ethic will live on through his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Miguel Morales, his staff as well as the DaVita Bayou City Dialysis team for the years of care they provided. A visitation is planned for Juan on Thursday, November 30, 2023 between the hours of 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Rosary will be held 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM. Mi madre era una mujer muy fuerte y guerrera que nunca se dio por vencida y siempre hizo lo que pudo para sus hij@s, madre y hermanas. Elizabeth era muy alegre siempre tenia su espiritu en alto y nunca nos dejo conocer lo que ella en verdad sentia, era la mujer mas hermosa que mis ojos han visto y seguiran mirando por el resto de nuestra vida. Aunque ella ya no este con nosotros aqui, su nombre siempre vivira y siempre lo vamos a recordar con mucho amor y carino. ESTO NO ES UN ADIOS SI NO UN HASTA SIEMPRE. TE AMAMOS. Sonny Mooney

Ernest Eugene "Sonny" Mooney passed away on November 30, 2023 at M. D. Anderson Hospital after fighting a courageous battle with Leukemia. Sonny was born on April 15, 1950 in Houston, Texas at Herman Hospital. He attended Pasadena ISD in grammar school and graduated from Pearland High School in 1969. Growing up in Brookside, he never strayed far from his Pearland roots. He was a member of Shadycrest Baptist Church, was a past president of North Brazoria County Democratic Club, a precinct chairman of Precinct 37, real estate agent for Berkshire Hathaway, and board member of Springfield HOA. As a child and young man, Sonny loved to ride horses, cruise the streets, and hang out at the car wash. After graduating high school he attended Sam Houston State University while working for the Texas Dept. of Corrections. He was always looking for new opportunities. Sonny left Huntsville to become a Farmers Insurance agent working on the north side of Houston. He then opened his own waste disposal company in what is now known as Bear Creek. After closing his company, he worked for Kaneka Chemical until retirement. Sonny had a brief stint as a handyman, before he pursued his true passion, and became a residential and commercial real estate agent where he strived to become a "Big Shooter" and enjoyed selling houses until his last days. Sonny is preceded in death by his parents Ernest Mooney Jr. and Lillian (Jean) Mooney. He leaves behind sons, Jason Eugene Mooney and Nathan Ashton Mooney and wife Lydia; grandchildren Emma Louise and Augustus Beau Mooney, Julia Kate and Ernest Eugene "Ernie" Mooney; along with brothers Jim Mooney and Jack (Sandra) Mooney. The memorial service will be held at 5:00pm Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston 77089. A reception will follow at Pearland Lions Club, 3350 S. Main St, Pearland 77581. In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial contributions in Sonny's name may be directed to Shadycrest Baptist Church.Show more

Ezequiel Lopez Loe, nuestro Deri. Nacio Enero 25, 1945. Sus padres: Francisco Lopez y Maria de Jesus Loe Siempre le gusto convivir en familia rodeado de sus seres amados. La energia y fuerza que el tenia era sorprendente. Es un ser admirable, asta en su ausencia. Le gustaba jugar con sus bisnietos a la pelota. Siempre se mantenia ocupado, disfrutaba ser productivo. Despues de retirarse siempre busco maneras de seguir ganando dinero. Todas las cosas que sus hijos o nietos no se daban el tiempo de hacer el lo hacia. Lavar los carros, echarla agua a las plantas, darle de comer a las mascotas. Si no fuese por el, uno no le miraba el valor a las cosas pequenas. En un mundo tan ocupado, mi padre siempre pidio que nos dieramos el tiempo de oracion antes de iniciar el dia, que hablaramos con nuestros ninos. El llenaba los vacios. Su presencia era paz y amor. Un ejemplo a seguir. Aun es increible aceptarlo, su alma fue mucha vida para su cuerpo mortal. Su familia fue su motor y eso siempre lo demostro. Al estar aqui pensando en el, me doy cuenta lo dificil que es referirme a mi padre en el sentido pasado. El fue, le gustaba, era, motivaba. Asi de fuerte es la existencia de Ezequiel Lopez, porque hasta ahora en su ausencia se siente su presencia. Lo unico que duele es la realidad, porque su memoria es amor puro, tranquilidad completa, fuerza insustituible. Hombres como el ya no existen. Mi milagro diario. El fue la prueba de la existencia de Dios, en sus momentos mas fragiles demostro rectitud y fuerza. Sus doctores y enfermeras siempre quedaron impresionados. Le gustaba jugar con su juego poker. Disfrutaba rascar boletos, siempre pensando en ganarse el premio mayor para darselo a sus hijas. Le encantaba contar historias de su infancia y leer. Sus peliculas favoritas fueron las de Pedro Infante, Tin-Tan, Cantinflas, y Antonio Aguilar. Programas favoritos; Caso Cerrado, Acercate a Rocio, Familia Peluche, La Familia de Diez, Xena, y Hercules. Alguno de sus favoritos cantantes fueron Javier Solis, Miguel Aceves Mejia, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Carlos Lara, Amalia Mendoza, Antonio Aguilar, Pedro Infante, y Jorge Negrete. Un consejo le dejo a mi familia de parte de mi padre. Lo llevo grabado en mi mente y corazon. En su voz fuerte y su expresion de mano cerrada. He was very talented mechanic who loved working at his father's auto mechanic shop all through his childhood. After graduating from Spring Branch High School, he started working full time at Hamilton Services with his father and eventually took over the business. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, watching movies, and spending time with his family at the lakehouse in Somerville. Collin is survived by his wife Ruth and two children, Collin and Kelsey and his step-daughter Brandi. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Jayden, Khloe, Kenslee, Caylee, Kaylani and Alizay.
