Jo-Ann Bella Lucy Arndt, 78, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Born November 14, 1943, in Meriden, CT. She was daughter of the late Russell and Bella(Mancini) Burbidge. JoAnn was a graduate of Lyman Hall High school in Wallingford, and later went on to study art at Paier Art College in Bridgeport in the early 1960's. On June 25th 1964 she married her sweetheart Roger Arndt. In 1974 the couple settled in Lebanon and raised their family. In the 80's she worked at Better Val U supermarket in Willimantic, in the late 80's she opened a shop called J&S Wood Critters with her friend Sue. Later for many years she worked at Liberty Hill Farm Market in Lebanon, then started working at Bobs Discount Furniture until her retirement. JoAnn was well known for her creative and artistic ability. Over the years she made beautiful hand-crafted dolls, signs, and jewelry. The penguin her favorite animal covers her walls in her arctic themed bedroom. JoAnn is well known for her wonderful loving personality and her bright red spiky hair. She is survived by her husband Roger Arndt of Lebanon; children Duane, and wife Duke Arndt of Jewett City, Tammy, and husband Christopher Deojay of North Franklin, Wendi and husband Joseph Arndt-Glennon of Oakdale and Gregg, and wife Jennifer Arndt of North Franklin; sister Georgianna Wilson of Jewett City and brother-in-law Ronald Arndt of Lebanon; grandchildren Amanda Gendron, Jasmine Arndt, Megan Arndt, Jeff Harman and Carrie Bohack; close family friend Carrie Allison; and numerous other extended family and friends.
