"On May 6th, 2023, Jessamine LaDelle (Chandler) Bergschneider peacefully left this life to join her Lord in eternal rest. LaDelle was born February 26, 1945 to Jesse and Connie (Ball) Chandler and was the apple of their eye. From her early years, LaDelle was a precocious child who became an eager teen and a devoted adult. She graduated from McCrory High School in 1963 and from St. Vincent's Nursing school in 1967. She then married J. L. Bergschneider, gave birth to her daughter Amy who gave her a granddaughter (Leila), and began a 40+ year career in Cotton Plant schools (later Augusta schools after consolidation) as an RN and school nurse where she was truly dedicated to caring for those who were uncared for and loving those who were unloved. And love is the word that most embodied LaDelle. She showed her love famously through the many delicious dishes that flew out of her kitchen as if by magic like the gigantic cake with a fountain inside it she created for her daughter's wedding that is still talked about and many people will remember LaDelle while fondly thinking of their wedding cakes she made. Those not lucky enough to have had a LaDelle wedding cake will surely be sad to no longer have her famous noodles during the holidays or the amazing strawberry cake with the glossy white icing. She also showed her love through the countless hours she gave to St. Mary's Catholic Church in McCrory and St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wynne where she was an active parishioner, the church organist for many years, and where she gave countless hours of her time and talent to numerous Catholic youth organizations. Her love for God, her devout faith in the Catholic Church, and her tremendous musical talent will leave a hole that will not be easy to fill. But most importantly, LaDelle showed her love through selfless devotion to her family. She was the heart and soul that kept us together and she was a living repository of knowledge who strived to pass down all the facts that make a family history and all the anecdotes that make a family real. She had a cure for every ill, an ear for every problem, a hug for every heartbreak, and a meal for every belly. If anyone ever left her house with an empty heart or stomach, it was through no fault of LaDelle's and certainly not from lack of trying on her part. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Connie (Ball) Chandler, former husband JL Bergschneider, sister Mary Nell Chandler, and daughter Amy (Bergschneider) Henley. She is survived by her aunt Barbara Jo (Ball) Baker of Kansas City, granddaughter Leila Henley of Little Rock and special cousin James Sawyer of Little Rock and a host of other friends and family too numerous to name. Rosary will begin at 9:00 a. m. at Saint Mary's Church in McCrory, Arkansas on Friday, May 12, 2023 with visitation starting at 9:30 a. m. until 10:30 a. m. . Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:30 a. m. at Saint Mary's Church in McCrory. LeDelle will be laid to rest at Fakes Cemetery in McCrory, Arkansas.
