Jerry Neil Wampler of Nixa, MO, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the age of 85. He was born in Clever, MO, on July 16, 1936, to Harold and Mabel (Collier) Wampler. Jerry was united in marriage to Catherine Bryant on February 1, 1956. This union was blessed with two sons, Tim, and Greg. Jerry and Catherine shared 52 wonderful years until her passing in 2018. Jerry loved to travel in his camper/R. V. and was a talented woodworker. He also enjoyed raising bee's, playing the guitar and was a former AAA fast pitch softball pitcher in Springfield. Jerry worked for Fasco for 35 years, until his retirement and was a long-time member of Ozark United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Catherine, and five siblings: Sidney, Bill, Joan, David, and Harold Jr. Jerry is survived by his two sons, Tim and wife Jennifer of Kentucky and Greg and wife Glenda of Missouri, four grandchildren, Ashley Taylor, Timmy Wampler, Hailey Nicholson and Matthew Wampler, two great grandchildren, Harper Taylor and Casen Wampler as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family and countless friends. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 9 a. m. in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Clever, MO.
