Jerry A. Ratliff Sr, 66, of Premier WV, passed away, Monday, April 22, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley WV. Born, September 3, 1952 in Welch WV, he was the son of the late Kennard and Stella Mae Workman Ratliff. He lived in McDowell County all of his life. He was a retired Coal Miner and an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed talking to his friends and family and working on cars with his son. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Donna Faye Cecil Ratliff, five brothers, Timmy, Bobby, Bill, Kennard, and Freddy Ratliff, two sisters, Hazel Justice, and Linda Rowe. Survivors include, two sons, Jerry (Melissa) Ratliff Jr of Sawmill WV, Danny (Mindy) Ratliff of Premier WV, six grandchildren, Brittany, Kimberly, Heather, Ely, Colby, and Bodie (Booger) four brothers, Lewis (Tootsie) Ratliff of Bedford, VA, Johnny (Jean) Ratliff of Premier WV, Charlie (Kathy) Ratliff of Big Sandy WV, Donald (Donnie) Ratliff of Iaeger, WV, two sisters, Mary (Tom) Lambert, and Margaret Pridemore of Premier WV, special nephews, William Ratliff, James Fruia, Kennard Ratliff, sister in law, Caretaker, lifetime friend, and companion, Victoria Ratliff of the home, Brother in law, James "the mail man" Cecil, Bill (Tommy) Cecil all of Premier, special friend of the family Ray Dean Christian of Beartown and many many others. Funeral Services will be conducted, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 12 Noon from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch WV, with Pastor Randall Dority officiating; burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton WV.
