Born on December 9, 1975, in Jacksonville, Florida, Jennifer was a compassionate and kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. Jennifer's is preceded in death by her father William Riley. Jennifer is survived by her loving mother, Brenda Riley; daughter, Morgan Michaud; son Chase George; brother, Jason Riley (Amanda); uncle, Terry Turner (Kay); aunts, Sandra Claxton and Pamela Stafford (Ricky); nephews Laken Riley and Jackson Riley, and niece Kaley Riley. A memorial service will be held for Jennifer at Zion Hill Baptist Church (date and time pending). The service will be a time of reflection and remembrance, where we will recall the joyous moments shared with Jennifer and find solace in the memories we hold dear. Jennifer Dolores George will forever be remembered for her contagious laughter, warm smile, and kind spirit. In addition Lauriston is survived by his younger sister Dell and several beloved nieces and nephews. Lauriston was a man of many talents and passions. He found solace in building his own home, channeling his creativity and resourcefulness into creating a haven for his family. Furthermore, Lauriston had a true passion for cooking, where he skillfully crafted delicious meals that brought joy and delight to those lucky enough to share a table with him. Alongside his love for his family, Lauriston cherished his visits back to his homeland of Jamaica, relishing the vibrant culture and reconnecting with his roots. To honor his memory, the family invites friends, relatives, and loved ones to celebrate Lauriston's life. Douglas Whitfield, 85, passed away on November 29, 2023, in Statesboro, GA. Douglas Whitfield was born on September 25, 1938 in Oconee county SC, to the late Melchert Whitfield and Ella Whitfield. Douglas was self-employed most of his life. He did everything from owning gas stations, bars, pawn shops to installing floors. Douglas had three children, Douglas Whitfield Jr. , Christopher Whitfield, and Tiffany Armstrong. Douglas was best known for never meeting a stranger and always making you smile with his great sense of humor. Douglas is survived by sister Evelyn King, his children Doug Whitfield Jr. , Christopher Whitfield, Tiffany Armstrong along with his son in law Thomas Armstrong. His grandchildren, Alyssa Armstrong and Tyler Armstrong. As well as a great granddaughter Wynter Mitchell and soon to be great-grandson Xyler Mitchell. Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sandra Whitfield, and three of his siblings. Thomas Paul Furlette (Tom), a devoted father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, at Heartis in Suwanee, at age 63 with his loving family by his side. In honor of Tom's life, and to cherish the wonderful memories he leaves behind, a celebration of life will be held open to family and friends on Tuesday December 12, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm, in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Home (5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. , Peachtree Corners, GA 30092). A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday December 13, 2023 at 10:30am, at St. Benedict Catholic Church (11045 Parsons Road, Johns Creek, GA 30097), with Father Paul Flood officiating. Following the mass, a luncheon will be held at the church. Tom's burial will be held privately at Peachtree Memorial Park. Tom was born on May 14, 1960 in Flint, Michigan. He was the beloved son of James L. Furlette Sr. and the late Mary C. O'Dea Furlette. Tom was also a loving brother to Donna M. McClung, James L. Furlette Jr. , and the late Dennis C. Furlette. After graduating from Rose-Hulman with a BS in Electrical Engineering, he married his loving wife Martha Lynn Furlette on September 28, 1985. Together they built their life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their bond remained strong and unbreakable throughout their 38 years of marriage. Shortly after marrying, Tom and Lynn moved to Atlanta in 1986 to start their family. By May of 1987, their first son was born, Thomas Edward Furlette (Ted). By August 1988, their second son Andrew James Furlette (Drew) was born. Tom supported them thru their athletic and academic endeavors, even becoming a coach for their basketball and baseballs teams. Tom always wanted the best for his sons, and was an integral part in their lives. All the while being an attentive husband and father, Tom embarked on a successful career as an Engineer and Salesman. Tom's exceptional skills and unwavering dedication made him an irreplaceable figure in the Engineering Services industry, earning him the position of Director of Sales. One of Tom's best accomplishments though, was making life lasting connections and friendships thru coworkers and customers over his 36-year career. Tom adored his grandchildren, Kaden Reid Neal and Andrew James Furlette Jr. (AJ), who are sons to Andrew James Furlette and Krystal Lee Brooke Furlette. His eyes sparkled with pride and joy when he was in their presence. Better known as Bobo to his grandchildren, Tom cherished the moments spent with them, nurturing their individual talents, and creating everlasting memories. One of Tom's last memories was being able to attend his eldest sons' Thomas Edward Furlette's wedding with Alex Galkina Furlette. Tom was so happy to see both of his sons happily married and successful. Outside of work and family, Tom enjoyed many hobbies. He enjoyed spending time fishing, golfing, listening to music, and watching his favorite team the Michigan Wolverines. He also loved traveling and exploring new destinations with his wife, childhood friend Mike Dew, and college buddies (Ernie, Stu, Steve, Jim, and Beerman Brian). Tom Furlette will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of strong faith, unwavering kindness to others, dedication to family, and exceptional professional achievements will forever be cherished. The funeral for Roger Stephen McGranahan, age 61, of Buford, GA, will be Saturday, December 2nd, 6 p. m. at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home (201 Morningside Dr, Buford, GA 30518). The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. On November 25th, Roger passed away at his home after a 6-month battle with small cell lung cancer. He was sitting in his favorite chair surrounded by family and friends. Born in Decatur, AL on October 16, 1962 to Edgar and Dolores McGranahan, Roger attended Austin High School and later Auburn University, where he met his wife Brenda. They married on December 3, 1988 and were about to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. In 1994, he received his MBA from University of Nebraska Omaha. He was a long-timeemployee of Skidmore Sales and Distribution, where he had many wonderful colleagues and clients. He is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Betty Duncan McGranahan, sister-in-law Patt Pannier, and step-brother Jimmy Duncan. He is survived by his wife, daughters Anna Laura (Steven Hoffman) and Claire McGranahan (Jorge Moretti), sister Kathy Vassar (John), brother Jim Pannier, step-sisters Nancy Duncan and Jessica Mangum (George), step-brothers Raymond Duncan (Lynn), John Duncan (Wanda), and David Duncan (Debbie), mother-in-law Carmen Brown, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a great dad, a wonderful neighbor, and a friend to all who knew him. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith2 Timothy 4:7Robert Calvin Myers was born on November 7th, 1967 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Robert Watson Jr. and Judith (Myers) Reed. Robert entered eternal rest after a five year battle with cancer on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving wife and two of his sisters. Rob or Robbie, as he was affectionately called by his family and close friends, enjoyed the finer things in life and lived it to the fullest. He was a hard working, compassionate man, that was full of integrity. He would always build you up and make you believe in yourself. His character exuded confidence in every way; from the way he talked to his sense of style. With his infectious personality and jokes, you couldn't help but to love him. He loved to travel, make people laugh, and tell great stories. Most of all, he treasured spending quality time with family. He was a chef by trade and cooked from his heart. He enjoyed watching others savor his delicious meals. Some of his favorite pastimes were to watch cooking shows, try different foods, and experience fine dining. To have truly known Rob/Robbie, meant you also knew that above all things, he valued the true gifts of life, his wife and children. Robert graduated in 1985 from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School in Michigan. A man with strong determination and perseverance, he continued his educational endeavors and obtained an Associates Degree in 1993 from Washtenaw Community College, a Bachelors Degree in 1995 from Eastern Michigan University and a Masters Degree in 2000 from the University of Phoenix. On October 26, 2013, Robert married Snola Washington whom he adored. After a beautiful ceremony, he was able to experience true love with his perfect match and two beautiful children Watson and Noa Rose were born from this union. Robert being a faithful man of God, husband and devoted father, was baptized on December 13, 2022 by Pastor Anthony Vick of M. O. R. E. Jesus Family Fellowship. Robert is survived by his cherished wife, Snola Myers, his adored children, Watson and Noa Rose Myers; Austin Green, Chynna Potts; and his precious granddaughter, Ivy Green. Robert is remembered by his father Robert Watson, Jr. ; siblings Lynn (Louis) Stevenson, Regina (Mark) Allen, Patricia Taylor and brother Andre Harris as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Judith Reed and his dearest grandparents Robert Watson and Juanita Jones Watson.
