Jennifer Colella Obituary

Jennifer Cope Colella, 48, of Elysburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on April 21st, 2023, surrounded by her family, after a long, 7 year battle, with ovarian cancer. She was born January 11th, 1975 at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA. She was a 1993 graduate of Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, PA. Early in her career, she worked as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant at three locations. She married the love of her life, Matthew, on February 15th 1997, and purchased their first and only home, a 200 year-old farmhouse in the countryside. She went on to own her own bakery where she created 3D cakes, various pastries, and wedding cakes, which were enjoyed by many. After having her daughter, Madison, in 2001, she decided to become a full-time stay-at-home mom in order to spend as much quality time with her and her husband. After the passing of her father, Donald Cope, in 2014, she developed a passion for photography, following in his footsteps, and won many photography contests since then. Her fight with ovarian cancer began in 2016, fortunately beating cancer twice, and was an inspiration and fierce woman who never gave up her fight. She is survived by her loving and compassionate husband, Matthew, a registered nurse, who provided constant care for her throughout the last 8 months of her battle, her daughter, Madison, a student at Lock Haven University, and mother, Janice Sackett Cope, who never left her side. She is also survived by her mother and father in-law, who reside in Elysburg, two brother in-law and two sister in-laws residing in Levittown, PA, and three nieces and one nephew.
