Jenette "Jeni" passed away peacefully in Phoenix Arizona on May 3. Jenette was born in Monticello, Iowa. She spent most of her life in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard "Dick" Hicke, her husband of 56 years. They raised their family of three children in Menomonee Falls. Jeni is survived by her daughter Rachelle (Scott) Bailey, granddaughters Elizabeth (Kyle) Taft, Lauren (Ken) Wiske, Michelle Molitor and Alexandra Bailey, and grandsons Traves Bailey, and Colin (Kierston) Bailey. Jenette had 8 great grandchildren, four in Wisconsin and four in Arizona. She was preceded in death by Richard Hicke, daughter Randee (John) Molitor and son Ronald Hicke, and her parents Donald and Olga Cram and sister Imogene Volden. Jenette was an active member in her community and church in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Fort Myers, Florida and Cave Creek, Arizona. Her mother taught her to love God, and each other and to live by example. Jenette did this as a homemaker, active church member and loving mother and passed these ideals on to her children so they could teach this to their children. Jeni earned a degree in Art History at Mount Mary College, Milwaukee after she raised her children. Jeni was known for her love of cooking, baking and entertaining. In her later years, she belonged to the National Button Club and enjoyed collecting and researching this newer hobby. The memorial service for Jenette will be on May 20, 2023, 10:30 AM at Desert Mission United Methodist Church, 7373 E Dixileta Dr. Scottsdale, Arizona 85266 and at a later date in Wisconsin.
