Jeffrey D. Wadolny (Jeff), loving husband and father, died on December 7, at the age of 74. He was a resident of Eldorado at Santa Fe after retiring to New Mexico in 2015. Jeff was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on April 24, 1948, to parents Betty and Julius Wadolny. His early years were spent in south suburban Chicago in Riverdale, Illinois. After graduating from Mendel Catholic High School, Chicago, Jeff attended Northern Illinois University where he received a bachelor's degree in marketing. On August 29, 1971, he married his high school sweetheart, Gloria Stojak, while proudly serving his country at Fort Hood Texas. Following his tour of duty, Jeff and Gloria returned to their Midwestern roots settling in south suburban Crete, Illinois. Jeff was employed in an administrative capacity at R. R. Donnelly & Sons, a printing Company in Chicago. His subsequent career path included employment at United Video Satellite Group, Tulsa, OK and retiring after self-employment as a filing agent with the SEC. In 1982, their son Andrew (Drew) was born, forever changing his life. He was actively involved with Drew's interests and was the catalyst for his future successes in education and employment. Jeff was also an avid golf enthusiast, and he enjoyed golf vacations as well as travelling in the U. S. and abroad. He truly enjoyed his retirement savoring the beautiful vistas and culture of Northern New Mexico. Jeff is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria Wadolny and Son, Drew Wadolny of Chandler, AZ. , Sisters Marcia Mitchell, Denver, CO. , Michaelene Wadolny, Sacramento, CA. , and Brother David Wadolny, Mokena, Ill. Also surviving are Sister-in-law, Susan Stojak, Peoria, AZ. And Brother-in-law, William Stojak, Owings Mills, MD. Since moving to Santa Fe, Jeff and Gloria have been parishioners at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis. Funeral services will be held on January 4, 2023, beginning with viewing and the rosary at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian burial. Interment to follow at The National Veterans Cemetery, Santa Fe, N. M. Memorial Contributions can be made to the: American Diabetes Association.
