Gerald (Jerry) Edward Struck, 91, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, December 3, at 2:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Rev. Wiley Leverette will officiate. A visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Saturday, December 2, from 3:00PM until 5:00PM. Jerry was born April 27, 1932 in Mondovi, Wisconsin to the late Fred and Minnie Struck. He was one of 5 children, all now deceased: Ray (Alvie), Cleo (Al), Henry, and Art (Inga), Jerry met his wife, Doris, in 1950, his one and only love. They married two years later and enjoyed 63 wonderful years together before her passing. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a power engineer for Pabst Brewing Company for the majority of his career, finishing his work life with Gilmore Warehouses. Jerry had a love for Country Western Music and frequently visited the Clinton Opry and the Powersville Opry, where he gained many friendships. He was a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church, and in 2020 became a part of the Solid Rock Church family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Jerry was most known for his wide-spread knowledge, high level of integrity, a strong work ethic, and a great sense of humor. Everyone who knew him will miss him. Gerald is survived by his children: Mike Struck of Atlanta, Dave Struck (Hanh) of Duluth, Michelle Keith (Billy) of Kathleen, Debbie Halverson (Kim) of Marietta, and Corey Bucholz (Bryan) of Bonaire; ten grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Nathan "Mickey" Miguel Torres, 26, unexpectedly passed away on November 16, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, 701 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia. Mickey could be described as a social butterfly and the life of the party always bringing a smile to the room. Although, he went through struggles in life, no one could deny he had a fierce love for his family, friends, and enjoyed nothing more than being with them; whether it be floating down the river or just spending quality time. He inherited a love for music and even played the drums and guitar when he was younger. Mickey is survived by his parents: Carlos Torres of Florida and his mother Eugenia "Gina" Sheets of Indiana, 2 brothers and 4 sisters, loving grandparents, as well as a multitude of friends and other family members; he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and met him. While Mickey's addiction didn't define him, it caused his untimely death. Due to his addiction, the light of a bright, kind-hearted, fun-loving person was dampened. While in Okinawa, the family acquired Mitzi, a Siamese cat that became Susan's beloved pet of many years and started her lifelong love of felines. Cats, Christy, Melissa and Strippy along with dogs Missy and Rosie were a few of her favorite companions. Susan decided to make a career as an educator, graduating from Middle Tennessee University in 1970. She began her career in Little Rock, Arkansas, transferred to Perry, Mississippi before landing a teaching position in Fulton County, Georgia at S. L. Lewis Elementary school. Susan then transferred to the Houston County school system serving at Perry Elementary, Perry Primary, Bonaire Elementary and David Perdue Elementary. In her 39 1/2 years of teaching, she touched the lives of thousands of young children in the classroom, afterschool, as a tutor, and as a Sunday School and Bible school teacher at Andrew Global United Methodist Church. Susan married her husband Ron and became an instant part time mom, to Shona, Tammy, and Angie. Their family quickly grew with the birth of Ronald James, Jr. (Jim) and Jennifer. Susan dearly loved her children often sacrificing herself to nurture, provide, guide and care for them. She frequently welcomed others into her home treating them as her own. Susan enjoyed reading and made incredible Cherry Cream Cheese Pie. She will be remembered for her loving kindness, gentle spirit, quiet strength, patience, fortitude, tenacity, and most of all her accepting and generous heart. Susan is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald James Holt Sr. ; grandson, Turner Holt Jonson; parents: Lt. Col Hiram Atwood Walters and Eleanore (Ehrt) Walters; and sister, Linda Kay (Walters) Lynch. Susan is survived by her children: Ronald James "Jim" Holt, Jr. of Houston county and Jennifer Holt Burke (Joe) of Twiggs county; step-children; Shona Holt Jonson (David) and Tammy Holt Baker (Jonathan) of Henry county, Angie Holt Lester (Shane) of Lamar county; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters; Christine Walters of Lexington, Kentucky, Annette Walters Christensen (George) of Fayette county, and Lori Walters Vermillion (Russ) of Henry county; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 11:00 am at Andrew Global United Methodist Church at 2430 Hwy 127, Kathleen, GA 31047. Reverend Kenneth Clark will officiate. Family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery 2617 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061 at 2:30 pm. The presence, support, and prayers of everyone are appreciated at this most difficult time. Ms. Elizabeth Joan Prostredny, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 18, 2023 surrounded by her loving friends and family. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A Rosary will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Friday, November 24, 2023 at 6:00 PM, the family will greet friends following until 8:00 PM. Betty was born in McKees Rocks, PA to the late Andrew and Anna Kapko on February 8, 1933. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael John Prostredny and siblings: Andy Kapko, Mike Kapko, John Kapko, Irene Maslaney, and Mary Skowron. Betty served her country as a Registered Nurse, working at multiple military and civilian hospitals. She devoted her time and took great care for each patient. She was also involved with the American Cancer Society, and was a part of the American Cancer Society Boois Member. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mr. Frederick Grant Iserman, 71, passed away in the early morning on November 16, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 1:30 PM. A committal service will immediately follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Sunday, November 19, 2023 between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM. Fred was born in Fort Campbell, KN on November 9, 1952 to the late Ronald Louis Iserman and Vera Iserman. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldog fan who would watch every game and keep up with the team stats. Fred could often times be found outdoors working in the yard or talking and caring for his loving neighbors. Fred was an enthusiast for model cars and spent countless hours building and working on his models. Fred also possessed a love for music especially the old rock music including Elvis. In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his brother in law, James Kitts. Left to cherish the memory of Fred is his loving sisters, Sharlene Kitts, and Stacey Green; nephews, Justin Green (Jamie); nieces, Meagan Green, and Breanna Green; great-nieces, Braelynn Green, Madelynn Green, and Amelia Green.
