Jeffery Jordan Obituary

Jeffery Darrell "Jeff" Jordan, age 72, of Staley passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at his home. Jeff was a 1969 graduate of Southeast Guilford High School. He was a long time Produce Manager at Lowe's Food in Liberty until he transferred to Chapel Hill. He was drafted in 1970 and served in the US Army. He was a true Tar Heel fan and an avid golfer where he made a lot of friends. In his younger years he enjoyed getting together with his family to play horseshoes. He went through dialysis and limb removal surgeries through the years but never complained or became bitter, he faced it with grace and courage. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 10:30 a. m. until 11:30 a. m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 11:30 a. m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Warren officiating; burial will follow at Liberty Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Jordan; step-brother, James "Eddie" Caviness; and a great-niece, Chloe Newbold. Jeff is survived by his mother, Dolly Smith Caviness and her husband, James Caviness; sister, Gwen Jordan Robertson and her husband, Rob; step-brothers, Steve Caviness, Cleve Caviness and Terry Caviness; nephew, Shane Caviness; niece, Kristy Newbold; great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan Caviness, John Paul Newbold, Dasha Newbold, Daniel Newbold, and Emma Cudd.
