Jeffery L. Evans, 65, of Tremont, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born August 2, 1958 to John and Bettie Isaac Evans in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a 1976 graduate of Tremont High School and a 1981 graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Agricultural Sciences. He worked several years in the farm machinery manufacturing business and served a combined twenty years as a Vocational/Career Technical Instructor with the Mississippi State Hospital and the Itawamba County School System. He genuinely cared for his patients and students and was gifted in his ability to provide the occasional dose of "tough love" to help each to be successful. Recently blessed with grandchildren, his absolute favorite role in life was that of being "Paw". A private family graveside service and burial will be held on Monday, September 11, at 1:00 p. m. at the Tremont Cemetery with Bro. Kerry Lee Peden and Bro. Joseph Jones officiating. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. No public visitation is being planned. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra Evans; sons Justin Evans of Starkville, and Jacob Evans (Krisha) of Tremont; grandchildren Jonathan Isaac Evans and Kaydence Marie Evans of Tremont; father-in-law Bob Killingsworth of Fulton and a host of other family members. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Bettie Evans and his mother-in-law, Ann Killingsworth. Ella Virginia Blaylock, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was born August 27, 1941, in Itawamba County, to Aaron Kirk and Vadis Elizabeth Stacy Franks. She was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and in her later years attended Mantachie First Baptist Church. She was retired from North Mississippi Medical Center where she worked in food and nutrition. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends, quilting, sewing, and her flowers. Services will be at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, December 10, at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mantachie with Bro. Rodney Lindsey and Bro. Blake Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one son, Terry Lee Blaylock (Debra) of Marietta; one daughter, Melissa "Missy" Lamb (Junior) of Mantachie; three grandchildren, Jessica Inghram (David), Terry Lee "T. J. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Blaylock; two brothers, Junior Franks and Jimmy Franks; two sisters, Helen Leathers and Martha White; and her parents. Pallbearers will be T. J. FULTON--Myrtle Eloise Credille Rikard, 84, entered into her heavenly rest on Thursday December 7, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a two year battle with cancer. She was born September 11, 1939 to the late Leonard Travis Credille and the late Audrey Holcomb Credille in Belmont. She was a graduate of Belmont High School and had lived the past 64 years in Fulton. Her working career included Blue Bell Manufacturing, being a florist and owning her own floral business and then retiring from North Mississippi Regional Center/ Itawamba Industries. Myrtle was a devoted caregiver to her mother and brother after retirement and was a faithful member of the Tilden Church of Christ for over 60 years. Celebration of life service will be at 11 am on Friday December 8, 2023 at Senter Funeral Home with Donnie Garrison and Craig Russell officiating. Burial will be at Itawamba Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10am - 11am on Friday December 8 at Senter Funeral Home. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Marilyn Joyce Moore Christian, 86, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at her home in Dorsey. She was born January 28, 1937, in Itawamba County, to Edgar and Ethel Wood Moore. She worked at Genesco and Reeds Manufacturing for several years. She was a long-time member of Hopewell Baptist Church and currently a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was a bird lover, collecting bird figurines, bird feeders, and she enjoyed feeding the birds. Services will be at 6:00 p. m. Friday, November 17, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Joseph Bain and Rich Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.
