In loving memory of Helen McNabb, who went to her heavenly home on February 25, 2024, at the age of 72. A Memorial Service celebrating Helen’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Encounter Church, 200 Tascosa Road, Amarillo, Texas. Helen was born December 28, 1951, in Dumas, Texas. She was married to Richard McNabb on April 14, 1984. She loved God, and her family with all her heart. Helen was a kind and wise woman who left a lasting impact not only on her own children, but also the children of many other Amarillo families as she taught the principles of kindness, love, and respect to all the children she cared for as the proud owner of her own home daycare. Helen enjoyed hosting traditional family gatherings in her warm and inviting home. A fantastic cook, she took great joy in feeding and caring for her family and friends. She loved baking, and she was a blue-ribbon winner two years in a row, at the Tri-State fair for her famous cinnamon rolls. She was a loving and generous person with a huge heart, full of grace. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Helen was preceded in death by her mother Detta Fears, and father Jimmy (JT) Williams; her sister Scooter Williams, and her brothers, Don and Jimmy Williams. Left to cherish her precious memory are her husband, Richard McNabb; her sisters, Laverda Williams, and Felicia Sandoval; her brother, Brian Williams; her sons, Tim McNabb and wife Nicholle, Justin McNabb and wife Ashlie; her daughters, Marie McNabb, Haley Rios and husband Richard; her grandchildren, Dominique Mathies, Meadow Rios, Jozalyn Rios, Evan McNabb, Austyn Garcia, Ethen Garcia, Abigail Garcia, Alexas McNabb, Breanna McNabb, and her niece and nephew, Debbie and Stan Moore. James Stanley Husky, 73, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on February 24, 2024. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 1, 2024, at Hillside Christian Church in the Chapel, 6100 S. Soncy, with Dr. G. A. Roach and Bob Schroeder officiating. Private burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. James was born in Amarillo, Texas on July 2, 1950, to Dorothy Jean (Brand) and Arvin Husky. He graduated from Caprock High School in 1969. James married Denise Pettit in Amarillo, Texas on October 1, 2010. James served in the Army Reserves out of high school. He worked most of his career in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He later moved back to Amarillo, Texas where he retired after 27 years from Zip Print on December 31, 2023. James loved his job, fishing, golfing, and riding motorcycles. James was a Christian and attended Hillside Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Denise Pettit-Husky, of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Husky Leigh and husband Travis, of Early, Texas; grandchildren, Grant Leigh, Carson Leigh and fiancée Allyson Fischer, and Claire Leigh; great-grandson, Bennett Leigh; mother, Dorothy Parson; sister, Sonia Phillips; sister-in-law, Reneé Cason and fiancée Ed Perez; niece, Dana Fleetwood and husband Rich; nephew, Brent McLemore; nephew, Tim McLemore and wife Erin; nephew, Reid Turner, many other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Arvin Husky. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in James’ honor to BSA Harrington Cancer Center for research on Melanoma Brain Metastases. Helen Margaret (Judd) Wisdom, 97, of Amarillo peacefully passed from this life on February 22, 2024. The family will receive guests at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S Georgia on Sunday February 25th from 4-6pm. Funeral Services will be held at Hillside Christian Church Chapel, 6100 S. Soncy on Monday February 26th at 2pm, with Bill Miller, Mrs Wisdom's son in law, and Rev. Chris Condit co-presiding. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Helen was born on October 20th, 1926 in Wellington, TX. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a faithful Christian. She was number 12th of 17 children. She attended Samnorwood School and graduated from Wellington High School in 1943. She went on to marry (57 years) the love of her life, Claude Emmett Wisdom on August 12th, 1944 and cared for him until his last breath. They began to grow their family having 6 children. Their home was always open to all the family and friends that wanted to come over. They were always welcomed with open arms and a meal. She lived such a full life living to this age that she was able to see her children grow, her grand children, her great grand children and her great great grand children. She is survived by her daughter Elaine Loukas and husband Alek of Amarillo, her daughter in law Darla Wisdom of Grand Prairie, her daughter DeAnna Ashton and husband Glen of Amarillo, her daughter Brenda Melvyn and husband Joe of Amarillo, her daughter Carol Miller and husband Bill of Olathe KS, her daughter Tina Stephens Brofft and husband Richard of Amarillo along with 13 grand children, 20 great grand children, and 8 great great grand children. Plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Emmett Wisdom, son Danny Claude Wisdom, son in law David Keith Griffin, grandson Jeremy Joe Melvyn, and all of her 16 siblings. A very special and heartfelt thank you to BSA Hospital and staff. Also ACSC of Amarillo for loving her the last 9 years.

Cory Alan Lehman was born on March 28, 1975, in Plainview Texas. He was second born to Ray and Betty Lehman. Cory passed away on February 14, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father. Cory lived life large and always seemed to be the center of attention. He enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing, camping, gardening and probably his favorite was smoking briskets and other meats. Cory adored his family and friends. The last couple of years were difficult as he suffered from heart and Long-Covid related issues. He has two sons, a daughter and two granddaughters left here on earth to help carry on his legacy.
