Jean Pease Obituary

Jean Pease, age 81 of O'Neill, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at West Holt Medical Services in Atkinson, NE. Her wishes were to be cremated with no services held. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. Jean Ardith Martens was born on May 6, 1942 in O'Neill, NE to Alfred W. and Lois Ann (Kuhler) Martens. She married Merle W. Pease on January 28, 1961 in Tyndall, SD. The two divorced on November 25, 2002. Jean is survived by three sons, Scott Pease of Novelty, MO, Zane (Shannon) Pease of Stuart, NE, and Clint (Mary) Pease of Emmet, NE; 5 grandchildren, Shaleena (Sam) Elsberry, Cole Pease, Grant Pease, Jessica Pease (Dakota Divine), and Collin Weidner; 6 great grandchildren, Lane and Cabela Murray, Teegen Tim, Rip Elsberry, Kasey Hiatt, and Kinsley Divine; sisters, Jaqueline A. (Malcolm) Cole of Rome, NY, and Shelley Z. Martens of London, England; and one brother, Bryan W. Martens of Fremont, NE. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jocelyn I. Martens and Jaralyn A. Martin; one brother, Thomas D.
