Jean Dobosz Obituary

Jean (Miller) Dobosz, of Somersville, died on Friday April 21, 2023, at the age of 88. Jean's family was able to spend the last days by her side. She passed peacefully at her daughter's house. Jean lived her entire life in Somersville. Jean was born in Stafford on September 13, 1934, the daughter of the late Earl and Evelyn Miller. She was a devout catholic and attended church every Sunday. Some of her pastimes included, watching TV, listening to her scanner/life star, enjoying her Polish music on Sunday's, and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at Sunday dinner. She also loved to travel with her family, especially trips to Disney, Rhode Island Beach trips and Cruises. She worked at Somersville Mill, Zayres and Ames Department Stores. Jean never wanted to be placed in a nursing home, She sold her house and moved in with her daughter Karen, who took care of her until God called her home. Jean is survived by her children; Kenneth Dobosz and his wife Luanne of Davenport, FL, David Dobosz and his wife Linda of Rock Hill, SC, Karen Mayette and her husband Norman Sr, of Somersville, Mary Bilodeau and her husband Ted Sr, of Somers; her grandchildren Jarilyn Dobosz and her boyfriend Ray, Norman Mayette Jr and his wife Colleen, Ashley (Mayette) Ertel and her husband Kevin, Merrick Mayette and his wife Nish, Jeremy Dobosz and his wife Carly, Teddy Bilodeau and Anna Kate, Stanley Bilodeau and his girlfriend Kyleyah, Dylan Bilodeau and his girlfriend Madelyn ; her great grandchildren, Victoria, Addyson, Noah, Nathan, Luca, Liam, and Travis; her sister Marilyn (Miller) Riley; Special Friends, Kay and Nikki and her faithful companion, her dog Honey. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley Dobosz; her granddaughter, Leah (Dobosz) Rockford, and her brother-in-law, Fred Riley. There will be no calling hours, A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Church, 25 School st, Somersville, CT, at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 27, 2023 (Please meet directly at church). Burial will follow at Somers Center Cemetery.
