Jean K. Brown was born March 3, 1942 in Nicktown, PA, to Walter and Edith Kirsch. She was the middle child of 11 siblings. She enjoyed family, traveling, football, baseball, the outdoors and hunting in the fall. Jean was the secretary for Yellowstone Christians for Life for many years, a strong pro-life supporter, and a long-time member of St. Bernard Parish. Jean is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jim Brown; two sons Jeff (Donna) and Dan (Tanya) Bedford; and two stepsons Jim Jr. and Jeff (Jackie) Brown; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four sisters Julia Wagner, Vicki Buterbaugh, Debbie Kovalak, and Sharon Terrizzi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Edith Kirsch; four brothers Water Jr. , Leonard, Roger, and Phil; two sisters Mary Ann Wargo and Dorothy Bellish; daughter Carol Mehalek; and her two favorite dogs Fancie and Buddy.
