Jannette Dea Plain began her life on earth on September 13, 1949, when she was born to parents T. V. and Dessie (Sander) Manning, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She departed this life and went to her heavenly home on June 19, 2022, at the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 6 days. Jannette or Jan as she was better known, grew up in Pratt, Kansas where she attended school and graduated. She also attended Pratt Community College. On April 29, 1970, Jan was united in marriage to John Evan Plain in Larnard, Kansas. The couple were blessed with three children, John Weslee, Tonya June, and Jerry Evan. In 1976 the family moved to Dewey County, Oklahoma and established their home. Jan was a believer of Christ and a member of the Assembly of God Church. Jan was proudly described as a homemaker, caring deeply for her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and cooking. She especially enjoyed animals. Jan was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Dessie Manning, and sisters; Bonnie McDade, and Rosie Tooman. Jan is survived and will be greatly missed by her children; John Weslee Plain and wife Lorrie of Woodward, Tonya Kourt and husband Todd of Chester, and Jerry Plain of Seiling. Others left to lovingly cherish her memory are her grandchildren; Trent Kourt of Seiling, Ok, Kenzi Kourt of Weatherford, Ok, Katelynn Kourt of Denison, TX, Sammi Jo Plain of Seiling, OK, Alisha Jacobs, of Woodward, Ok, Sara Jacobs of Woodward, Shane Weslee Plain of Seiling, Lindsay Plain, Shaundra Plain, Jasmine Pope, Johnny Evan Holhouser, Jessie Jacobs, Skylar Plain, Arianna Plain, and Hope Plain. Six Great-Grandchildren will miss her loving presence along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. A Memorial Service honoring Jan will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 2:00 P, M, in the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Brumfield Cemetery, Seiling, OK.
