Janet Pizzolongo Obituary

"Janet Theresa Pizzolongo of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Cape Coral Hospital on Monday, May 8, 2023 following some recent health setbacks. She was 85 years old. Janet was born in the Bronx, New York on November 4, 1937, the beautiful daughter to Ida (Cappella) and Anthony Iovino. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert B. Pizzolongo who sadly passed away in 1993. She is survived by her children Robert, Michael and Donna, a large extended family, a number of friends and a great many others who were proud to know her. She will be fondly remembered and warmly missed. A Funeral Service for Janet will be celebrated by Deacon Jim Tesoriero at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received for Visitation for three hours preceding the service beginning at 11:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these ceremonies, friends and families will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Janet will be laid to rest alongside her dearly departed husband in their crypt located inside the Mausoleum inside the Hall of Christ Stilling the Waters.
