Jan B. Elliott passed away on Thursday June 9 th , 2022. Jan was born January 5 th , 1947, in Atlantic Iowa to Dale and Betty McCrory. Jan moved to Colorado as a single mom in 1979 and eventually settled in Fort Collins in 1981 where she would spend the remainder of her life. In the mid 80's Jan began to exercise her talent as a writer, attending workshops, writers' conferences and joining several writers' groups throughout the years. Eventually a hobby turned to a passion that culminated with the publishing of her murder mystery "Murder on the Rocks" and a children's short story "The Laughing Blue Lizard of Larimer Square". While juggling her writing and raising a son, Jan worked many years for and retired with the City of Fort Collins as an Administrative Assistant. Jan is preceded in death by her mother Betty Turman and father Dale McCrory, she is survived by granddaughter London Elliott of Loveland, CO and her daughter in law Renee Elliott and son Jason Elliott both of Wellington, CO.
