Janet Temple Comardelle, after a year long battle with cancer, passed away peacefully on to her eternal life in the early morning of September 27, 2023, at the age of 75. Janet was the beloved wife to her late husband, Ricky Comardelle, Sr. Mother of Kieth J. Blanda, and stepmother of Rhoda Comardelle Moore (Robbie). Grandmother of Jordan Blanda, Kieth Blanda, II, Tyler Moore and Adam Moore, who affectionately named her "Mawzy". Janet was born on October 24, 1947, in New Orleans, to the late Horace and Lola Dugas. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby Nell, Daisey Mae, Johnie Earl, James Lavell, and her twin sister Jackie. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends, co-workers, and all who knew her for her kindness, fun-loving and giving spirit. She enjoyed life to the fullest and danced her weekends away. If she wasn't dancing on the weekends she was spending time with her family who she absolutely adored. She will forever be in our hearts. In honor of her birthday, a Celebration of Life will be held at River Church, 2418 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La, on October 24 from 11:00 a. m. to 3:00 p. m. with the service starting at 12:30 p. m.

She is also survived by brothers Gaetano "Joe" Ortalano (Marilyn), Glossen "Butch" Ortalano (Trish) and sister Conchetta Thibodeaux (Irvin). Mary Ann was a housewife and a Loving Mother to her children. The family would like to Thank Mrs. Martha Becnel her long-time friend, shopping, and lunch partner. On November 25, 2023, at the age of 91, Edward Leo Hymel, Sr. , was joyfully reunited in Heaven with the love of his life, Estelle V. Hymel. Edward was the devoted Husband to Estelle for 70 years. Together they created a beautiful family and lasting legacy that included being the father to ten children, Pauline Evans (the late Richard), Edward Hymel, Jr. (Barbara), Dennis Hymel, Felix Hymel, Janice Terrebonne (Mike), Rhonda Hymel, and Renee Bladsacker (Lou). He was preceded in death by his daughters Paula Taravella & Elizabeth LeCarpentier (Charlie) and his son Donald Hymel (Dana),Proud Pawpaw to 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, soon to be 22. He is preceded in death by his parents, Myrtile and Felicia Himel, his siblings, Hazel Laplace, Ruby Pellegrin, Joseph Hymel and Bernice Jones. Edward was born and raised in Gretna, Louisiana and was a resident of Harvey. He was a graduate of Gretna High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, He was stationed in San Diego, California and Okinawa, Japan. After his time in the Navy, he went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad where he spent 39 years of dedicated service until his retirement in 1994. He was a devout parishioner of Infant Jesus of Prague Church. Edward was a gentle giant and a simple man. He was a passionate LSU Fan, who could often be found in Alex Box & Tiger Stadium cheering his Tigers to victory. In the days after his retirement, he and Estelle enjoyed many bus trips throughout the U. S. He loved his daily walks, working in his backyard, afternoons at the casino, curing our ails with his extensive knowledge of vitamins & collecting coins. But above all those things he was happiest surrounded by his constantly growing family, especially on Sunday afternoon to enjoy Estelle’s magnalite delights. Danny Spears Memorial Fund This obituary will not do him justice as no words can adequately describe all that was Danny Spears. He was many things including a loving husband, father and friend. He was also sometimes a troublemaker, sometimes a funmaker and sometimes a peacekeeper but above all he loved and was loved by many. Danny Spears, 52, a beloved member of the community, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 12, 2023 leaving behind a legacy of humor and love and who touched the lives of countless people. He is survived by his loving wife Starrlet Boutwell Spears, who he teasingly called his "PIC" (parnter in crime) and they stood by each other through thick and thin as they built their life together. He was a loving father to Maci Spears (Christopher), who he loved beyond words, and the stepfather of Grace Roberts. Danny was a beloved son to Robert "Bobby" Spears and Mary Judith "Judy" Coley Spears; a cherished brother to Garret Spears (Carol) and and uncle to his niece, Taylor Spears, and nephews Dalton Spears and Dillion Spears and his mother-in-law Darla Kay Burmaster. He also leaves behind his 5-month old grandson, Grayson DiMartino, whom he adored, who brought immeasurable joy into his life, and he cherished every moment spent with him. He will now be joining his cherished cat, Fats Spears, who passed earlier this year. Born on September 27, 1971, in Watson, LA, Danny grew up in Plaquemines Parish and was a long time resident of Belle Chasse, LA. He graduated from Belle Chasse High School in 1989 and soon after began his career in law enforcement as a young officer who served with distinction for many years. He worked for several prominent agencies, such as JPSO and STPSO but spent the most time with PPSO taking on various roles from patrol to street crimes in Narcotics and was a member of the Special Response Team (SRT). Danny earned many accolades during his service and his commitment and skills were recognized by his fellow officers and commanders, who held him in high regard. Many regarded Danny as the best police officer they ever had the honor of serving alongside. Beyond law enforcement, Danny worked for Plaquemines Parish government, where he supervised the flood control department, and most recently, he worked as a quality inspector for MSMM Engineering, where he made a lasting impact in the short time he was there. Danny was known for his infectious sense of humor and charismatic personality. His sense of humor was legendary, brightening countless lives with its unique charm and he had an innate ability to bring joy into the lives of those around him. Danny was truly one-of-a-kind, a great man who cherished his friendships deeply and treated his friends like family. To those who had the privilege of befriending him, he many times became an "adopted son," a "cousin," or even a "brother. " Danny had various hobbies and interests. He had a passion for LSU and Saints football and you would most often find him spending time on his back patio, immersing himself in music that brought him joy. He also had a completely separate life and was part of various online gaming and stock trading communities, some of which he created. He had many "nerd friends" and formed deep ties and bonds and his loss in those communities is also felt greatly. Although his time was cut short and Danny's unexpected departure left a void in the hearts of those who knew him best, he led a full life and on his own terms. He even died on his own terms, at his home, in his favorite recliner, in his sleep. Let us remember him for his contagious laughter, unwavering loyalty, and kindness. Robert W. LaCombe, 62, passed away unexpectedly on November 5th, 2023. Robert was born in New Orleans, LA and lived in Buras, LA for the past 37 yrs. Robert’s passion, other than his family and furbabies was his work. He worked in the oil field industry for 40+ years of which he was a Shore Base Manager for 20 or more of those years. Robert was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, he enjoyed cooking, grilling and boiling crawfish. He also loved watching the hummingbirds, cardinals and blue jays playing in the trees. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Aline LaCombe, his brother Glenn LaCombe, sister Marilyn Lege’, his baby boy Matthew LaCombe, his daughter, Alicia LaCombe, both sets of grandparents and his little dog, T-Chien. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Denise, of 34+ years, his sons, Michael LaCombe and Brandon McCain, grandson, Alec LaCombe, and his brother Jack LaCombe. Son of Lois Falati Meyers and the late Johnny Meyers. Kevin was a proud graduate ofDeLaSalle High School. He was employed at Meyers Warehouse where he played a key role inoperations and could be found there almost seven days a week. Kevin was a diehard LSU fanand could always be seen in his LSU attire. He was the life of the party and always had a way ofmaking people laugh. Some of his favorite times were his trips to the casino, riding inChoctaw/Thoth, the many nights throwing darts/ playing pool and watching anything LSU. Hehad a giving heart and always the first person to step in when others needed help. He pridedhimself on giving blood every 8 weeks and his monthly contributions to St. Jude. He ispreceded in death my his grandparents: Joseph Falati, Sr. , Olga Falati, Josephine Meyers andMilton Meyers.
