Janeen Barrett, 67Janeen Barrett, 67, of Punxsutawney, died Friday, April 21, 2023, at Quality Life Personal Care Home in Worthington, PA. She was born October 4, 1955, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Ruth (McGonagle) and Eugene Burkett. On September 16, 1978, she married Daryl J. Barrett, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2013. Janeen was a member of the First Church of God of Punxsutawney. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her cat Lily, baking, singing in the church choir and doing puzzle books. She worked for The Potters Place and as a secretary for the Christian Missionary Alliance district office in Punxsutawney. Janeen is survived by three children; son Jason Barrett and wife Sarah of Beavercreek, OH, son Daniel Barrett and wife Megan of Louisa, VA, and daughter Amber Barrett of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren, Viera, Kayta and Javen Barrett and Tenley and Landon Barrett; a brother Robert Burkett and wife Carol of Punxsutawney; sister-in-law Millie Burkett of Punxsutawney; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Burkett and a sister Bonnie Burkett. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p. m. , on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at 11 a. m. , on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the First Church of God of Punxsutawney with Pastor John Swanger and Pastor Rob Van Fossen officiating.
