Jane Wells Obituary

Jane C. Wells, 86, of Charlottesville passed away on May 8, 2023, in her home. She was born on December 2, 1936, a daughter of David Herman and Marguerite Clemmer of Charlottesville. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Frances C. Mahanes; brother, Joe E. Clemmer; and granddaughter, Jennifer L. Wells. She is survived by two sons, Jonathan W. Wells, his wife Dawn L. Wells, and James F. Wells Jr; three grandchildren, Abigail W. Rowe and her husband Trey, Naomi W. Shifflett and husband Logan, and Nathaniel J. Wells; one great-grandson, Gabriel Shifflett; and one sister, Mary Alice Pollard. A family graveside service will be held at 11a. m. on Friday, May 12, at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, VA.
