"MOCKSVILLE - Mrs. Jane Reavis Cleary Kimmer, 77, of McAllister Road, died Sunday, September 10, 2023, at her home. She was born on March 22, 1946, in Yadkin County, to the late Donald Lee and Beatrice Reavis Cleary. Mrs. Kimmer was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to garden, be outside, and go on cruises. Everything she loved, she loved with her whole heart including her church and church family. Every morning you could find her reading her devotional and on Sunday evenings getting a milkshake with her husband. She spent countless hours watching hummingbirds and bluebirds, working on puzzles, and on a soccer field watching her granddaughters. Jane will be greatly missed by many. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, David Kimmer, Jr. ; two daughters, Michelle Harris (Wayne) of Yadkinville and Kendra Roten (Chad) of Mocksville; two grandchildren, Madison West (Logan) and Alexis Riddle (Travis Craney); and her canine companions, Boggie and Chloe. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p. m. , Thursday, September 14, at Center Methodist Church with Rev. Jesse Teal officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p. m. Wednesday, September 13, at Eaton Funeral Home. Memorials may be considered for Center Methodist Church of Mocksville general fund or cemetery fund, 1857 US Hwy 64 West, Mocksville, NC 27028. "

"Gary Thomas Rives, age 54, of Greensboro, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, of pancreatic cancer. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Forbis \u0026amp; Dick Funeral Service on North Elm Street. Gary was born on April 5, 1969, at Lee County Hospital in Chatham County, and from that day forward, his life became a symphony of passion, creativity, and unwavering devotion. As a talented bass musician, Gary\u0027s soul was deeply connected to the art of sound. His favorite music genres were jazz, classical, and rock. He served as a double bassist in the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra. Gary\u0027s musical journey extended further, as he contributed his talents to local bands including Misplaced Aggression and Last to Speak. Gary also enjoyed attending various concerts, especially those of his favorite band Primus. Beyond the stage, Gary\u0027s love for the ocean drew him to the beach, where he found solace and joy in the search for sharks\u0027 teeth. His appreciation for the wonders of nature was a testament to his profound connection with the world around him. Gary\u0027s faith was a cornerstone of his life, evident in his commitment to bringing others to salvation. His strong spiritual foundation was a source of inspiration to those who knew him, fostering a sense of community and love. Gary is survived by his son Branson Coley Rives, fiancee Amy Ragsdale, mother Peggy Campbell Rives, and sister Carol Ann Rives. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Henry Rives, Jr. , brother James Kenneth Rives, and infant children Lucas Coley and Rebecca Emaline. "Wanda Smith Falls, 91, gained her eternal wings, Tuesday November 14, 2023. Mama (Wanda) loved her family and her church family. She was a member of Hines Chapel Church all of her life. She was an avid baker and was best known for her pound cakes, pies, jams, jellies, and other goods. Bobby and Wanda were consistent vendors at the Greensboro Farmers Market on Lindsey Street for over thirty years. She loved flowers and would tell you all about them if you asked. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents James and Virginia Smith, her loving husband Bobby R. Falls, sister Imogene Spears(Leo), and one step grandchild Brannon Wagoner. She is survived by her sons Wayne Falls(Pam), Timmy Falls(Michele), Patrick Falls, daughter Gwen Welborn(Steve), brother Jimmy Smith(Sandra), sister Patricia Busick(Terry); six grandchildren Leslie Welborn, Tonya Combs(Wesley), Angie Welborn, Scott Falls(Heidi), Cole Falls, Wyatt Falls, one step granddaughter Heather McIntyre(Mark), seven great-grandchildren Rylea Combs, Hudson Falls, Adeline Falls, Tanner Combs, Lily Welborn, Aaron Falls, Annabelle Falls; four step great grandchildren Katelyn McIntyre, Karsen McIntyre, Kannon McIntyre, Kenslee McIntyre, many nieces and nephews, and a special friend and caregiver Jennifer Faucette. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm- 3:00 pm Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Hines Chapel Church. A 3:00 pm funeral service will take place Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Hines Chapel Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
