Jane Dziekonski, 89, of East Longmeadow Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, April 18th at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield Massachusetts after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her loving parents, Helen Wandeloski and Walter R. Wandeloski, her beloved brothers Richard and Paul Wandeloski, her devoted husband of 64 years John Dziekonski and her cherished daughter and only child, Linda-Lee McSweeney. Born Jane Wandeloski, Jane grew up in the town of Greenfield. From the start she was ambitious and hard-working, getting her first job working in the tobacco fields. She graduated Greenfield High School in 1951 where she was a senior class officer, graduation official, worked on the yearbook committee, and was the class secretary. She belonged to many clubs and organizations throughout her life, but perhaps dearest to her heart was the Polish Junior League and all of the special friendships she formed in the decades she spent being a member, chairman, and secretary. She taught a course on antiques at Bay Path University for several years, where she was able to showcase her impressive collections as well as her expert knowledge regarding them. She loved to make jewelry, crafts, and candles and sell them at the local holiday craft fairs. Above all other things, Jane loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her grand-daughter, Brianna Seaman and her husband Adam of Southwick, her grandson Brenton of Springfield, her two beloved great-grandchildren Caleb, 10, and Chloe, 1, and her son in law, Edward McSweeney of Springfield. Jane also leaves behind her dear long-time friend Alana Hoffman of Longmeadow. Her burial will be on Thursday April 27, 2023 at 10:00am at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. , Agawam MA.
