James Michael ''Mike'' Watts, age 77 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this earthly life on Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at St. Vincent's North in Sherwood, Arkansas. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on July 6th, 1946 to Clois Allen Watts and Ethel Bernice Medley Watts. Mike married Judy Harness on February 9th, 1968 and to this union was born two children, Lance and Jamie. Mike was a member of the Eastside Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. Mike graduated from Marshall High School in 1964. He started working as a dry wall finisher while still in high school and continued for many years. He and his brother, Charles owned the CITGO Gas station and tire shop for a few years. After selling the station he went into the dairy business and also managed the White Oak Station in Marshall. He went on to convert his farm to a beef cattle operation. Mike was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the harmonica, guitar and the banjo. He loved the Razorbacks and sports in general. He especially enjoyed watching the grandkids play ball. He liked to fish with his grandkids in the family pond and enjoyed watching westerns. Mike was a very family oriented man and his greatest joy came from time with spent with them. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy Watts of the home; his children, Lance Michael Watts and wife Juanita of St. Joe and Jamie Michele James and husband Jared of Harrison; his grandchildren, Sabrina Emerson (Keaton) of Russellville, Jonathan Drewry of St. Joe, Jasmine Watts of St. Joe, Jace James of Harrison and Emerie James, also of Harrison; his brother, Charles Watts (Bennie) of Marshall; sisters, Roberta Ferguson of Marshall and Patricia Wilson of Marshall; his niece, Cheryl Reed (Ricky) of Marshall; nephew, Kenneth Ferguson of Bella Vista; and many extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Clois and Ethel Watts; and an infant sister, Melba Jene Watts. Funeral services for Mike will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 15th, 2023 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. David Wallis and Bro. Kenneth Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 till 2:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Bearers will be Brandt Reed, Nick Reed, Preston Ferguson, Walker Ferguson, Warren Ferguson and Jared James. Honorary bearers will be Mike's Marshall High School Classmates of 1964.

Robert Anderson McGee received his heavenly reward on December 3, 2023, at his home in Sherwood, Arkansas, at the age of ninety-three years. Robert was born to Jeff and Della McGee on March 12, 1930, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. At the age of eighteen, he was diagnosed with tuberculous and was placed in a sanatorium in Booneville, Arkansas. There God sent two women to pray for him while he was dying. They said a simple prayer of faith and walked out. God miraculously healed him that day. After the x-rays confirmed his healing, with nowhere to go, he was offered a job as a male nurse for one dollar a day, a clean uniform, and all the food he could eat, for two years at the sanatorium. He left the sanatorium and moved to California to live with his sister and family. While there God began to deal with him. After receiving the Holy Ghost in his early 20s, he met the love of his life Mary Lena Beall in East Los Angeles and they married on August 6, 1954. Some of his accomplishments include: pastoring churches in Mayflower and Jacksonville, Arkansas, owning a furniture store and hardware store, and owning and operating a Western Sizzlin’ in Denton, Texas. After retirement, he moved back to Arkansas and has been a faithful saint of the First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Imogene Hearn, brother Orville Wayne, brother Jimmy Dale, daughter-in-law Kim (Stripling) McGee, and granddaughter Christian Haar. He leaves behind his beloved wife of sixty-nine years Mary Lena (Beall) McGee, son Nathan and wife Tonisa McGee, daughter Gail and husband Paul Johnson, five grandchildren Rachael Haar, Andy (Nina) McGee, Julian (Carmen) Haar, Ailena (Matthew) Martin, Taylor (Danielle) Johnson, Jaclyn Johnson, and Kason Haar, ten great-grandchildren, Bayla, Hadley, Jayce, Brinley, Ainsley, Beaudrie, Camila, Shepard, Kinley, and Eleanor. Visitation will be from 10 to 11am, Monday, December 11, 2023, followed by a funeral from 11am to 12:15pm at First Pentecostal Church, 1401 Calvary Rd, North Little Rock. "Robert Morgan Baker, Jr. , age 72 of Hampton died Saturday, December 2, 2023 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Sherwood, Arkansas. He was born June 7, 1951 in New Bern, NC. Robert entered the U. S. Air Force in October of 1969, serving as an air traffic controller during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in October of 1975. He graduated from U. A. M. with a forestry degree. He was a county forester for the State of Arkansas working in Calhoun, Union, Ouachita and Bradley County. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Morgan Baker, Sr. and Muriel Jeanette Watkins Baker; and wife, Deborah Parker Baker. He is survived by two sons, Shaun Michael Carter of New Orleans, LA, Robert M. "Trae" Baker, III and wife Tricia of Monticello; three daughters, Laura Catherine Floyd and husband Brandon of Hampton, Tisha Michelle Mills and husband Matt of Benton, Felicia Elizabeth Akers of Monticello; one sister, Barbara Wiser of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, Aaron Michael Floyd, Morgan Elizabeth Ogden, Wesley Jeremy Ogden, Kennedy Noel Mills, Erik Jase Akers, and Finn Mackson Harper. Ann Phillips, of Sherwood, Arkansas, peacefully went home to meet her Lord Jesus on the morning of Saturday, November 25th, at the age of 92. She was surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her two beloved children and their families, Michael Phillips (Linda Jo) and Leigh Ann Harvey; two grandsons, Michael Dane Phillips and Joshua Ryan Harvey; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Paris Phillips; and many nieces and nephews. Ann was born in England, Arkansas, to Henderson and Clara Slaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy M. Phillips; eight siblings, Liburn Slaughter, Ernest Slaughter, H. F. Slaughter, Margaret Johnson Lucille Huckaby, Betty Nolen, Jean Tonar, and Jane West; and her son-in-law, Orvin "Buddy" Harvey Jr. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. Ann had two priorities. Her faith and her favorite activity, spending time with her family. She was always available to help when needed, give advice, or offer encouragement. He had a "green thumb" and could make anything she planted flourish. She was a lifelong hard worker, starting as a youngster picking cotton until retiring from AT&T in 1990. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her, until we are reunited in Heaven. Visitation will be held Friday December 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock, AR.
