James Summers Jr Obituary

James Aubrey Summers Jr. , 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Silver Spring, MD early Friday morning on April 21st, 2023. He was a loving widower, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. Born September 10, 1932, he was a native Washingtonian who attended BCC High School and later graduated from GWU. He went on to become a partner at J. Paul Oehman and Company CPA. He and his first wife, Barbara Howard Summers, raised their three children in Bethesda and Potomac, MD. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Summers; his sisters, Susan (Stanley) Mills and Ginger (Duncan) Albright; his two sons, Richard Summers (widowed) and Steven (Christine) Summers; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and great friends. Graveside service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 a 10 am. (Those wishing to attend should assemble at the front entrance by 9:45 am. ) The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the American Heart Association.
