We are sad to announce the death of James (Jim) Ira Sadler, of Martinsburg, WV, who died on Thursday, June 16, 2022 in Frederick, MD. Son of Rev. Ira and Mrs. Alberta Sadler, Jim was born and raised in Tennessee. He attended Tennessee Tech in Cookville for two years before joining the Air Force where he loyally served our country for 21 years. While stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska, he met and married the love of his life Sandra Holmstrom, his wife of almost 57 years. They raised three children together while serving in multiple locations around the world. After retiring from the Air Force, he continued serving the Department of Defense as a civilian for 17 years. He then retired from the government and spent the next 7 years as a contractor for the government with Scitor before retiring. Throughout his life, Jim served the Lord in all he did. He worshipped with various church congregations and served them in various capacities including Elder, Clerk of Session, Sunday School teacher, Deacon, choir member, team member on several mission trips, computer support, and general handyman. He is survived by his beloved family including wife, Sandra L. Sadler, son John Sadler (Kathy), daughter Kimberly Jensen (Brian), son Mark Sadler (Michele), and 7 grandchildren, also his sister Peggy Bland (Nyle), sister Carol Baker (Dick), and brother Edward Sadler (Marion). He is preceded in death by his parents Rev. Ira and Mrs. Alberta Sadler, and his sister Joann Otley. Friends and Relatives may call on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 9501-B Catoctin Mountain Hwy.
