She had lived in Hunterdon County, NJ her entire life.She was formerly employed as a secretary for The Herdman Agency, Bohren and Bohren Associates Inc., and finally the Flemington National Bank & Trust Company, all of Flemington, NJ.Cathryn was a long-time, active member of the Cherryville Baptist Church, Cherryville, NJ and loved attending and helping with the many church activities over the years. In addition, she was an avid reader and enjoyed playing computer solitaire and mahjong.She will be remembered as a good wife and loving mother, who would help anybody at any time.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, the late Kenneth J. Brunt, Sr., who died in 1994.Surviving are her son, Jeffrey B. He was born November 4, 1957 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Mr. Willie Singleton and Mrs. Carita Singleton. His life in itself was a miracle against all odds.Kevin was a beautiful soul. He was unable to communicate with words but his beautiful blue eyes spoke of love and a sense of happiness. His kind spirit and smile would fill a room.Kevin spent his youth and teen years home with his family. In 1976 Kevin began his residency at the Hunterdon Developmental Center. The family stayed engaged with Kevin throughout his stay to support his development.He was predeceased by his patents Mr. Willie and Mrs. Carita Singleton, his paternal grandmother, Corene Sanders, his maternal grandmother, Florence Harris. Rich was an avid photographer. He enjoyed spending his free time building model trains and airplanes. He stayed active, playing racquetball, golf, and scuba diving/training. Rich was awarded the "Nicest Guy in America" designated by all who knew him. Rich was loved by so many and loved spending time with his many friends and his large family, especially his grandson, Alexander, who gave him great joy. Rich will be forever missed by his wife, JoEllen Ashby; his sons, Matthew Pawlak and his wife Dana (LaPlaca) PAWLAK, and Brian Pawlak; his daughter, Anastasia Pawlak Wendel and her husband Christopher; his grandson, Alexander Wendel; his stepchildren, Michael Orfe, K. C. Orfe, Sarah Orfe, Jennifer Christiana, Mason Orfe, and Hudson Orfe; and his sister, Joan Pawlak Saier, As well as her children, Lara and Dana. Rich is predeceased by his first wife, Nancy Pawlak; and his parents, Dorothy and John Pawlak. Arline (85) and Vincent J. (91) Fortunato, of Annandale NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. They lived a life full of love and were together until the very end. Arline (nee Krinick) was born in New York, NY, on May 29, 1938. She was the daughter of Abraham Krinick and Janice (nee Friedman) Krinik. Arline was a homemaker and devoted her life to creating a loving home for her and Vinnie. Vinnie was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 20, 1932. He was the son of Nicholas Fotrunato and Rose (nee Bruno) Fortunato. Vinnie served in the US Navy for two years and worked for the IRS for over forty years until his retirement. He was a devout Catholic and took great pride in serving as an usher at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, NJ. Arline and Vinnie's love was unbreakable. They cherished every moment together and were inseparable. They loved spending time with their extended family, and always looked forward to the next occasion when they would all be together. They could often be found sipping afternoon cocktails while recounting the day's events. Both Vinnie and Arline enjoyed shopping; Vinnie liked in-person bargain shopping and Arline liked shopping on QVC. Vinnie could often be found walking around the town of Clinton to stay fit and picking up the occasional stray golf balls outside their home. Their love story was beautiful from beginning to end. Arline and Vinnie are survived by his sister, Carmela Duffy of Oxford, NJ; nephew, Brian Duffy (Michele); nieces, Susan Fleming (Dean), Janice Duffy (Keith), and Laura Smorto (Mike); and their great nieces and nephews. They will be forever missed. Vinnie's brother, Louie and his wife Rose and their son Nicky all predeceased Vinnie and Arline. Robert Wade

Robert F. Wade, a father of eight, grandfather of 20, and great-grandfather of seven who valued his faith, his family and his Irish heritage above all else, died of natural causes this week, joining his late wife, Joan V. (Molloy) Wade in eternal rest. He was 91. Bob - formerly of Roselle, Clinton and Washington Township, N. J. - and Joan were born and raised in Bayonne, N. J. , and raised their family in Roselle and Clinton, N. J. A graduate of Seton Hall Prep and University, Bob also attended New York's Regis High School. He was appointed to the U. S. Naval Academy, but decided instead to marry his childhood sweetheart. Nevertheless, he proudly served with the U. S. Navy as a Corpsman. He worked his way from laboratory technician to a national leadership role in labor relations for Exxon Research and Engineering Co. Bob served the Knights of Columbus (KofC) as Grand Knight of the Roselle, N. J. , council, as a New Jersey District Deputy, and in a variety of state roles, before being elected New Jersey State Deputy from 1981-1983. He retired from Exxon to take a global role at KofC headquarters in New Haven, Conn. , from which he retired in 2001 as Deputy Supreme Knight of the 1. 9 million-member Catholic organization. He was also a Knight of Malta and a Knight of the Holy Sepulcher. During his tenure with the Supreme Council, he led many programs, including Pope John Paul's visits to the United States and the Pontiff's celebration of Mass at Aqueduct Race Track in 1995. He often exuberantly discussed frequent audiences with His Holiness and his work in helping the Knights support the work of Mother Teresa. Bob was a long-time bagpiper with the Saint Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band of Kearny, N. J. Several of his children played for and remain involved in the band. He was also a season-ticket holder and major fan of the New York Football Giants and counted the late Giants owner Wellington Mara among his friends. He and his wife also maintained a residence in Alton Bay, N. H. , and generated many family memories with their children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Robert (Mary), Kevin (Mary), Donald (Erin), Cathleen (Raymond), Colleen (Patrick), Brian (Kristin), Joan (Andrew) and Dennis (Keri), and their children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary, Katherine and Josephine, and his brother Peter. In addition to his wife, Bob was predeceased by his Irish-born parents, Bridget of Coolboy, Co. Cork, and Luke of Skerries, Co. Dublin, as well as his brothers Joseph, Thomas and Luke. Friends and relatives may visit with Robert's family on Wednesday, December 6 , from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Martin Funeral Home, located at 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Mary Zinkann

Mary was a graduate of St. Mary's College located in Notre Dame, IN, where she earned her bachelor's degree in finance. Mary met the love of her life, Joe Zinkann, on a blind date. They married on February 16, 1963. Together they raised four children: Joseph, Elizabeth (Beth), Stephen, and Susan. While raising their four children, Mary decided to continue her education, earning her master's degree in education from the University of Hartford, CT. She went on to teach young children until her retirement. A devout Catholic, Mary and her beloved Joe were long time members of their parish, The Church of the Annunciation in Bloomsbury, NJ. She was very active in the parish, helping at the St. Patrick's Dance, the town wide garage sale, and the Women's Guild. Working with Rev. Roberto D. Coruna among others with The Church of The Annunciation through the years was one of Mary's great pleasures. Mary could often be found cheering on her favorite college football team, Notre Dame. She enjoyed hosting for holidays, cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. Her favorite place to spend time was in Dune Acres, IN, where her family had a home. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her precious family, especially her grandchildren who brought her great joy. Mary will be remembered for being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. James served in the US Navy as a quartermaster third class. He married Rhoda Sue (nee Dutcher) on June 25, 1960. They were married for thirty-six years until her passing. James shared his life with Carol S. Pierce Smith, they enjoyed twenty-one years together. James had a lifelong love of teaching and learning. He was blessed to turn his passion into a career working as a history and economics teacher at Stamford Central School in Stamford, NY. He also taught as an elementary school teacher and coach in Walton, NY, and Belvidere, NJ. James was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, and trapping in his free time. He was a talented, expert cabinet and furniture maker, home builder, and stone mason. James enjoyed quiet time gardening, as well as taking adventurous road trips. Most of all, James loved spending time with his precious family and friends. James will be forever missed by Jim and Arlette Ovady Jr. , of Bow, NH; James J. Ovady III, Cindal Menard, and James J. Susan Tarnoski, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Susan was born on February 24, 1948, in Plainfield, New Jersey to parents Robert and Jane Gardner. She graduated from North Plainfield High School in 1966 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in a double major of elementary education and speech pathology, at Kean College. she was widely respected by her colleagues in the industry for her expertise, leadership, and dedication to mentoring young professionals. Outside of work, Susan was a devoted wife and mother. She married her high school sweetheart, John in 1970. Together they raised two wonderful children, Scott and Craig . She never missed a sports game or school event, always supporting her children's and grandchildren's passions and activities with enthusiasm. Susan will be remembered for her kindness, ability to create the best Halloween costumes, sharp intellect, and unwavering commitment to her family. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John; children, Scott (Laurie Fowler) and Craig (Stacy Tarnoski), Grandchildren, Hailey Tarnoski, Carly Tarnoski (fiance, James Morra Jr. ), Andrew Tarnoski, Matthew Tarnoski, Parker Broms, and Reiley Broms.
