Michelle Lee Filardi (nee Stanley), age 53, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Michelle was born in Van Nuys, CA on September 5, 1970. She moved to Bolingbrook, IL in 1976 with her family where she graduated from Bolingbrook highschool in 1988. There she met and married Tony Filardi Sr. , and together they had 3 wonderful children; raising their family in Crystal Lake Illinois. Michelle worked for Marshall, Gerstein, and Borun in Chicago for many years before joining AbbVie as a Patent Prosecution Paralegal. Michelle loved spending time with her family and singing karaoke whenever she could. She also had a great love of animals, especially her grandpuppies Goose, Aurora, and Apollo. She had the most special gift of bringing joy and happiness to those around her, and the most contagious, amazing laugh; She absolutely loved to make others laugh as well. Michelle is survived by her loving children, Angela, James, and Anthony Filardi; parents, Leonard and Karen Stanley; brother, Jeff Stanley; and former husband Tony Filardi. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents James and Sophie Derezotes; and sister Lisa Urso. A visitation for Michelle will be held from 2pm until the time of Eulogies 5pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Daniel "Dan" Paul Ofloy, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on his birthday, November 18, 2023. Born on November 18, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, Dan's life was a rich tapestry of adventure, music, and love. His early years in Michigan with his younger brother, Kevin, were filled with the carefree adventures of youth, including the memorable mishaps of occasionally getting his car stuck in the woods around Twin Lake, MI. A proud member of the first graduating class of Rolling Meadows High School, Dan's life was marked by a diversity of interests and achievements. During his 33-year career at AAA Painting Company as a field expert and project manager, Dan displayed remarkable dedication and skill. His ability to solve problems with a touch of humor made him a beloved figure in his professional life. Dan's 42-year marriage to his cherished wife, Susan "Sue" Ofloy, was a testament to their enduring love. Their daily walks together symbolized their unbreakable bond. Dan's legacy of love and wisdom is carried on by his sons, Erik and Colin Ofloy, and his grandchildren, Eli, Rhett, and Isaiah, who brought immense joy to his life. A man of many talents, Dan's musical journey included playing the trumpet, guitar, banjo, and piano. He was known for his inventive spirit, from hosting memorable poker parties to building a hovercraft, growing exotic plants, and assembling a Whizzer motorized bicycle. Dan enjoyed fishing, a pastime he cherished for its peace and the opportunity it provided to teach and bond with his grandchildren. In Dan's memory, donations to the American Heart Association are appreciated, reflecting his generous nature.
