James Lorah Obituary

James J. Lorah, 85, of Walnutport, passed away April 22, 2023. Born in Sheppton, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Konschnik) Lorah. James was married to Judy (Oels) Lorah and they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in June. Jim was a salesman for the Nestle Co. for many years until retiring. He was a longtime baseball coach for the Walnutport Playground Association and a past president of the Slatington Suburban Baseball League. He was a Navy veteran and was also involved with Boy Scout Troop 69. Jim attended St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Berlinsville. Survivors: Wife, Judy; Sons, James H. Lorah and wife, Debra, Jay A. Lorah and wife, Lina, and Joseph G. Lorah and wife, Sherry; 10 Grandchildren. Jim was predeceased by 4 siblings, Leona Snell, Georgine Finn, Priscilla Keretz and Arthur Lorah. Services: 11 AM Friday, April 28, 2023 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus. A viewing will be held 6:30-8:00 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday at the funeral home.
