Graveside services for Mary Jo Humphrey Glover, age 81, of Tomball, TX, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Forest Academy Cemetery with BJ Teer officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Hawkins, Dakota Hawkins, Colton Frazier, Caleb Frazier, Jason Frazier and Jon Humphrey. Honorary pallbearer will be James Humphrey. Mary Jo passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Northgate Assisted Living in Tomball, TX. Mary Jo was born on September 27, 1942 in Dallas, TX, the daughter of Julian Duane Humphrey and Dorothy Mae Hinton Humphrey. She married Robert Glover on April 14, 1961 in Oklahoma and he preceded her in death. Mary Jo was not only a homemaker, she was also involved with local politics where she helped with campaigns for a local congressman and helped her husband when he ran for city counsel. Mary Jo was Vice President of the local Women’s Aglow Chapter in Richmond/Rosenberg and she went to Washington DC and participated in the Right to Life March on Pennsylvania Avenue in the early 70’s, she was also President of the Fort Bend County Four Square United Women, a women’s missionary group. Mary Jo liked to draw, write poems and was involved with her church. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Hawkins and husband Greg of Magnolia, TX, brother, James Ray Humphrey of Como, grandson, Dakota Hawkins and wife Laney of Friendswood, TX. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jennifer Lee Glover and brother, Larry Humphrey. Timothy Linn Carlisle passed away in Tomball Hospital on February 16, 2024, surrounded by family members and his pastor. He was born February 10, 1953, in Houston, TX to Thomas Linn Carlisle Jr. and Mary Carlisle.Tim was a 1971 graduate of Cy Fair High School, where he played football, was a member of the FFA, and rode bulls at the Friday night school rodeo.Tim’s favorite hobbies after graduation included playing sandlot football with his buddies and attending paintball games with his friend Bobby.On May 30, 1975, Tim and Linda F. Berry became husband and wife. They enjoyed each other’s company for 48 years. They enjoyed traveling and getting together with family and friends.Tim was an active member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the company of Christ his Savior and found friendship during services, potluck, and soup dinners.He is preceded in death by his parents Tommy and Mary Carlisle and brother Ron.Timothy is survived by his loving wife Linda Carlisle; brother Ronnie Lee Havard; sister Marylin England; as well as other family members and friends.Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 10-11am at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 19361 FM 362, Waller, Tx 77484. Funeral Services will follow at 11am with Pastor David Cecil officiating. "George Flavious Wirt, 89, died on February 9, 2024 in Tomball, Texas, after a tough battle with prostate and bone cancer. He was born in Houston, Texas at the Heights Hospital on May 25, 1934 to Roy David Wirt and Vera Virginia Bleyl Wirt. He graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1951. In school he played football and baseball, was in the FFA and raised cows, chickens, and hogs. He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1955 and was stationed in San Diego working on planes. After that, he sold magazines door to door all around the US. He married Tania Marlene Wert of Newton, Iowa in 1957 and they lived and worked on the Bullock Ranch until 1959. He then joined the Houston Fire Department and worked there until 1965. While in the fire department he studied real estate and got his Brokers License and started George F. Wirt Realty, Inc., then Wirt-Kleb Realty and became The Wirt Company in 1967 with his office at the corner of Jones Road and Hwy. 290 hiring 30\u0026#43; agents specializing in acreage and commercial investments with a special thank you to his brilliant secretary, Judith Schultz along with his top agent, Joe Evans. George loved the Real Estate (people) business along with his pastime activities with his slow-pitch and flag football teams which had some of the best athletes from the city and state on his teams. His office was filled with trophies! He had a great appreciation for nature, wildlife, and art. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Lots of time was spent with Bobby Taylor, Charlie Arnold, and other friends fishing the Lower Laguna Madre and Port O’Connor, hunting and exploring for fossils and flint with Frank Lenk and Frank Fontana at the ranch in Terrell County. He loved picking up shells and had quite a collection. He also loved working in his garden and planting Live Oak trees. George also loved playing the piano and harmonica. He was an avid Astros fan and was a season ticket holder for 25 years. George had 5 children with Tania - Vernon, Freddy and wife, Alissa and their 5 children, Andy and wife, Delia, Roy, and Amy and her 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Later, he married Debra Johnson and had a son, John (Buster) and wife, Lexie and their 2 children. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ferdy Wirt, sister Shirely Gent, and son Vernon. George was always a fair businessman and very generous. Many people that he did business with became life long friends. He will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers he’d say Go Fishing! She was born on 07/07/1934 and passed away 02/07/2024 at the age of 89. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, George David Scott Jr. and 2 sons, David Allen Scott and William Earl Scott.She was blessed with 5 surviving daughters, Debbie Thomas/husband Randy & grandson Craig, daughter Rhonda Tuttle/husband Dana & grandson Chris/wife Christy and great-granddaughter Kylie, daughter Kathleen Wilkinson/husband Kirk & granddaughter Holly, daughter Nancy Stientenroth/husband Mike, grandson Mark, granddaughter Sarah/husband Mike & great- granddaughter Bailey, great- grandsons Brayden & Bryson, daughter Eva Orlop, grandson Christopher, granddaughter Evian/husband Tyler & great-grandson Jace.In Virginia's teens and early 20's, she did some catalog modeling for some upscale retail stores. She was truly a beauty inside and out. She graduated with a perfect 11A" average from Harris County Junior College.After marrying David (George), they opened their own real estate company, Astroland Real Estate. They later started an investigating firm, George Scott and Associates, in which Virginia worked as a private investigator. David (George) was a certified fraud examiner. Later in life, she worked at Tomball Hospital in charge of supplies.She was very talented and creative artistically and always made our home warm and beautiful.Virginia was a major prayer warrior and people always depended on her knowledge and God's words of wisdom. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
