Nicholas D. Rizzs (1980-2023)In MemoriamThe vibrant spirit of Nicholas D. Rizzs, a beloved resident of Issaquah, Washington, dimmed on November 18, 2023, as he peacefully departed this world at his home in Issaquah. Born on February 12, 1980, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Rick and Kira Rizzs, Nick's journey through life was a testament to passion, love, and the joy of living. Nick's roots were firmly planted in Issaquah, where he was raised and educated. A proud graduate of Issaquah High School, he furthered his knowledge and skills at Bellevue College, setting the stage for a career that would reflect his diverse interests. Throughout his professional journey, Nick explored various avenues, but it was in the realm of plumbing that he discovered his true calling after spending years working construction. For the last eight years, he dedicated himself to the craft as a plumber, loving the projects he undertook and the people he worked with. In his leisure moments, Nick found solace and joy in the great outdoors. Whether it was the thrill of riding dirt bikes, the rush of snowmobiling, or the freedom of Jet Skiing, he reveled in the exhilaration of adventure. The mountains and the waters of Lake Sammamish were his canvas, where he painted memories that will endure in the hearts of those who shared these moments with him. Nick's love for life radiated in every facet of his being. His infectious laughter, his zest for fun, and his boundless energy were a source of inspiration to those around him. Nick is remembered by his father as being the most loving son a father could ask possibly have, always concluding his interactions with a heartfelt, "I love you, Dad!"Nick's warm smile was contagious, and his generous heart embraced everyone he encountered, transforming acquaintances into cherished friends. While firmly grounded, Nick devoted his heart to Jesus, openly expressing the wellspring of his strength through numerous texts and passages from the Bible that he generously shared with others. He is survived by his dad, Rick Rizzs and his legacy continues through his three children, Jaxon, Braedon, and Ryan, born of his love with his longtime partner, Brooke Higgins. In addition, Nick is remembered by his former wife, Melissa Rizzs, and a host of extended family members and friends who were touched by his warmth and spirit. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Kira, in 2018. A celebration of Nick's vibrant life will take place at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Eastridge Church in Issaquah. Friends and well-wishers are invited to share memories, view photographs, and offer condolences on Nick's tribute page at www. flintofts. com, a digital space created to honor the memory of a remarkable soul.
