James Gordon Obituary

J. R. Gordon, 92, of Wilson passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023. His funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Saturday, September 23, 2023 at First Christian Church, 207 Tarboro St, Wilson. Interment will immediately follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson with the Rev. Gary Walling officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral services from 12:00-12:45pm in the Parlor of the Fellowship Hall at First Christian Church on September 23 and other times at their home. J. R. is survived by his daughter, Alice Susan "SuSu" Gordon and husband, Witold Tulodziecki of Wilson, NC; his sisters Betty Gordon Sereno and Catherine Gordon Hamrick of Gaffney, SC; his brother Ronnie Dean Gordon of Graniteville, SC; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents William James Gordon and Susie Parris Gordon; brother David Oliver Gordon and his loving wife of 52 years, Lou Deans Gordon.
